It seems you have received bcash to your bitcoin wallet. How were you able to send bcash from your blockchain.info wallet ? I thought they only offer a bitcoin web wallet  Huh

They offer Bitcoin, BitcoinCash and Ethereum wallets, so for newbies who do not know difference between Bitcoin and BitcoinCash it is very easy to mix things and send one coin to other coin wallet, what exactly happened in this case. Fortunately, such a situation can easily be resolved, but in case users send Bitcoin to BCH blockchain info wallet or vice versa it will have big problems. Then is only up to service to recover that coins.

What currencies are supported in the Blockchain wallet?

To be able to access your bcash, you need a bcash wallet (not a bitcoin wallet). Those are two different cryptocurrencies.

Electron Cash is a fork of electrum (btc wallet) which serves as a bcash wallet. Those wallet formats should be identical.
So the easiest would be to download electron cash and open your wallet file with it.

Note: Electron cash is NOT SUPPORTED BY ELECTRUM. It has been forked. There is no guarantee that this is a trustworthy wallet. Use it at your own risk!

Don't worry. If you have done everything right and your PC is not compromised, nothing is lost.
It is good that you are switching from a web wallet to a desktop wallet. This improves the security of your coins a lot.

Please answer these questions (this will allow us to help you more efficiently):

  • What version of electrum are you using ?

  • Did the transaction already got confirmed (Did you check it on a blockexplorer) ?

  • Is electrum synced ? (Should show a green dot at the bottom right corner)

  • Do you still see the address you have send your funds to in electrum (Either 'receive'- or 'address'- tab) ?

  • Do you have a backup of your seed ?

Version 3.1.3
Green light is on, and address is still showing..
if you mean the word groups, then yes thats backedup.

On Blockchain it says sent and confirmed, following the link from there to blockchair, i get this:  Bitcoin Cash  Transaction  6ca46465d42758e7f0fc53caeca0d74b295c0cc955ad86de74cffbef36f9512f

hello all, hoping for some advice. I set up a blockchain wallet, then an electrum wallet. using the receiving address in electrum, i entered that into blockchain to send btc over to  electrum. blockchain states that it has been sent, but nothing has appeared in electrum. it was sent on saturday the 26th.  I would have hoped that it would have arrived by now at least. have i lost my hard earned cash?

Cheers
