It's hard to say what budget of campaign should. It depends on many factors : duration of campaign, number of spots, payment per post rate, number of posts allowed. Also you need to hire someone to create signature design. You also would need for campaign mannager. So, if you want to effective advertise your business with signature campaign, you need to have big budget.

Wow! Now i just seen your comment! It hurts! It really hurts, how someone like you can comment about "..price for buying signature"!

What your comment have with topic?! Have nothing! .. and the worst is that someone will pay you for this "long comment" .. just reported!
What !? Why you are saying that my comment have nothing with topic? I can't tell him exact price, but I said which factors he need to consider. You reported me - ok, you have right to do that, but I don't understand reason, why?

in my opinion i think the rate that you list may not be in the price list to start signature campaign . i think it depends upon for which type of project is your campaign (  gambling site , mining site , investment site , trading site ,online wallet , exchange like or escrow site etc ) .

Next meaningless answer! This is not about the subject, and about whether the signature is to be for all ranks (as usual). The price for all ranks can not be less than 0.25 btc - perhaps as long as you want to get sh*t!

I didn't read all comments, but when i buyed signatures (i mean complete set for all ranks) - I buy it from my friend, and i ask him for shortest time to do that. Hmm i think i have to say, that he did it in 24 hours!( It was fast in my opinion )

So he, as my friend charge me 0.25 BTC

And in my opinion it is correct price for complete service in short time!

What do you think guys?

Out of curiosity, what is a normal price to pay for starting a signature campaign?

That includes a newb + jr + member + full + sr memb + hero signature.
normally you can get a decent design for 0.05 btc and above but if you want to get the best out of it just make a competion so anyone can give their entries and you can decide for yourself which one suits you best.

In second comment there is "master list", for sure op can see there different rates for different ranks. Also this list can show you what campaigns we have on this forum, and with one click you can go too official threads of this campaign's.
Running campaign isn't cheap, but it brings results. There is campaigns that are running for a long time, and they wouldn't last so much if they don't have something from it.
You need to run campaign for long-term if you wish good results from it. Running campaign for short time will not have some big effect.

If you want to made good sig camp, 1 btc should be enough to gather mass poster. Just make sure that you've manage to select best poster to promote your site. But if you want cheaper on , fixed campaign may be good solution ( 0.5 should be enough )

well actually its depend on your target, like how many user you want, how many member per rank that you want, more or less you are going to need 0.2BTC-0.4BTCper week, before you start you need someone to design your signature and avatar you can get both of this at around 0.1 BTC

You should start from the bottom, first you have to design the signatures, if you don't know then you should hire a signature designer or make a contests, count 0.2 - 0.4BTC to spend here, then you decide about the rate for each rank.

okay, how expensive are these signatures? Or is that what you meant with the 0.2 - 0.4BTC.

There is no definite answer to the question and again it depends on the value of the project and the demand of the task, but I believe any campaign that pays more than 0.01BTC/week is a good campaign to consider

it depends on the signature campaign , each individual campaign has their own price , and some are with more rules and regulation , some are short time perios like one month and so on , and few will continue till  many months , but as the rank is higher ,the price increases Smiley.

Suggestion:  don't let anyone under the rank of sr member in the campaign,  and budget more for the higher ranks that are left.  No need to reward newbie signarure spammers and everything else.   You would have a winning campaign if you did that.
You did it, considering from your suggestion it's why is available the signature campaign manager for managing your campaign, if you wanna for using some efforts for searching about the spammer is there are a many spammer is having an high rank too but in this time is very difficult for filtering the member is spammer or not. and the solving way for this problem is using sign manager.

check the overview of signature campaign threads as given by bitcoin revo and before you start your campaign be sure that your campaign can last atleast 1 month so it can get much attention and traffic from bitcointalk users. if you only plan to run for a week then it will just be a waste of money from your side

But i think the duration of sig campaign is depends upon OP if he choose a short period. You can give your own rate based on what is your projected profit in your site compared to the expenses in your campaign. Just make sure you will in profit at the end and don't make your rate above your capacity. Goodluck

yes ofcourse the duration will depends on him, i am only suggesting not to run sig campaign if he only plans to run it for 1 week as it will not get much attention and very few people will see the sig, many users here in the forum don't come online for more than 1 week and they will miss the advertising
Well, he's poll I can say he is not having many amounts and for running the signature campaign for a long time it needs a source of a lot of signature owner. like having a gambling site or trading site can make their signature is running with funding runs.

He's payrate is much better and i can called decent amount to pay for signature campaign participants but the question is, can he sustain to pay or build an signature campaign for along run?  Because if he's planning to run for just a short time period well i can say that his plan or expectation will never be meet since exposure for his site is not quite good for that period of running, and @OP for you to know more about payments and how to run a new campaign its better for you to contact an experience campaign manager so you can sort all things out.

Newb? Pretty much nothing. Dust really in the grand scheme of things.

Hero/legendary? A decent signature campaign would pay you 0.06-0.1/ month but the lesser paying campaigns may be even less. This could always change because of the price of bitcoins in the future as well.

Signature campaign is part of a promotion to introduce your site to the public and do not expect to benefit in the early promotion
Almost all sites suffered losses when the promotion  it's a natural thing after  public know about your site they will come if you offer good services they will use but do not expect if your bid is equal to another site or even worse.

For the price usually if you do not have a competitor you can offer low prices but when many competitors like gambling you have to offer a higher price.

It's hard to quote specific data points for what you're looking for, because it varies a lot on the quality of the posts you're going to be strictly looking for. You can have a look at what the campaigns are charging right now to get a general view of what the "average" is, and maybe click through a couple of them to see what kinds they are.

Here is the masterlist.
Also depends on number of participants you want. The more participants, the more should be your budget. Also how long you want to run that signature campaign for.You must consider all these factors and thenyou can arrive at some estimated figure
