Yea they made progress in years, but not recent. Taepdong has been in development for 30 years and is still not ready. They proved it with that recent failure. Sure, they can launch on Japan South Korea or China, but all those countries have defense systems ready with Korea and Japan using US made THAAD. Also NK have a very limited number of nuclear warheads and they don't have their own defense system. Most of these systems in operation today are made by countries that don't support NK like USA, China, Israel and the EU. The only country that might supply them is Russia.

Not everything they say is true. I think that a lot of Koreans will be very happy if Kim will be destroyed. Even some of the Koreans have no idea how to live without God-Kim. Are you sure? Please think again. Because, when the fat boy is threatening to nuke the Americans, he is not referring to a potential nuclear attack on the mainland United States. On the other hand, he is having two targets in his mind:

1. Outlying American territories, such as Guam, Northern Mariana, and Hawaii.

And it will trigger a major war, which will result in the deaths of more than ten million people. But still I am sticking to my stand. The US have placed several anti- air defense systems on South Korea to destroy any projectiles launched by the North Korea. If it comes to worse what I fear is that possibly North Korea may be reduced to ashes if they will continue their actions since the United States of AMerica have been deploying Nuclear missiles across Europe and those will be launched towards North Korea even before they will launch their attack.

Good! No one wants North Korea to bomb any country in the world because that would be a global disaster upon everyone talk-less of other countries that would start bombing each other because of the North Korean actions!

I dont think that the United States of America is in panic with those threats. But instead they are very careful on their next move without leaving the possibility that those threats maybe true.
