Bisq is a Bitcoin Fiat Dex. Use responsibly
Visa on a blockchain will be an interesting one.
Best way to use it would be on a blockchain based Virtual Nation. I imagine that a nonfungible unique Visa on the blockchain could also be made in picture form and stored on IPFS or somethingBTC

I know there are small countries selling visas, even citizenship, for certain amounts to raise fund but those selling are incumbent governments. Would you buy citizenship from insurgents that don't even control the country?

I don't think these are actual rebels. I actually agree with one comment suspecting it's a ruse by the NoKor gov't. Not only do they earn money but they can also find out who may be supporting rebellion from abroad.

It is just some random people trying to get some money using crypto currency. It is just a token. There is nothing extraordinary or any advance in using this token over a virtual coin. Wake me up when they start to use only Bitcoin or another country with real value that they cannot control the supply

Just some people taking advantage of the naive ones. How do they expect to overthrow the Kim?

Even if this is a legit insurgent group, they'd need more money than they can earn selling visas. At this point you'd need foreign interference to depose the Jim.

They easily outnumber government, all it takes is a united population.  This is why governments always try to divide us and give us reasons to attack each other.  The power is ultimately within the people, not our leaders.

North korea is full of control freaks, they won't let crypto get into their country except the ones that they control or have high stash of already.

This is the address: (https://etherscan.io/token/0x9044c1f34f29d19558c11662cb2de79f858347d9)

Overview [ERC-721]
Total Supply: 106 GVISA
Holders: 68 addresses
Transfers: 107

But I can't find which provinces in North Korea can you visit with this Visa. Although I like what they did here, but I think they just make it worst though. Imagine you try to use this Visa and then boom, N. Korea can still track you down, where ever you want to go specially if you go inside and visit the provinces allowed by this Visa. Not a good move for them, but hey, they are using and taking advantage of crypto so what can we say?

We don't know about that. But they have a secret agent that can do that, but it's not easy Grin

Yes, the massive adoption is on the way to happen, and if more people buy those Visa, then I think much money will be collected in cryptocurrency.
When I visit opensea.io, I try to search Free Joseon Genesis, and I found so many sellers who sell that free pass. That is interesting to see that thing.

I doubt the North Korean Regime right now can be overthrown, they are way too powerful and they got tons of Bitcoin they have collected from hacking South Korean and other exchanges. Also probably collected a lot from black market activities. It's a nice idea though that some are fighting to liberate their country from a tyrannical regime but all I can do is wish them well and hope they can free their countrymen and women from the gulags. It's interesting they are issuing these visas and maybe many will buy just to try and support the movement. You never know they could see a free CHOSUN one day.

Tons of bitcoin collected from hacking South Korean exchanges? Are you kidding me?
From where do you have such information and can you verify it?
I really doubt that the North Korean hackers are that good.
By the way,why are the dissidents selling those visas? Can't they just give them away for free?

Free Joseon Genesis Visa holders could visit North Korea if the Chollima Civil Defense succeeds in its aim to overthrow Kim Jong-un.

It's just a little gimmick to gain some prominence against the dictatorship of Kim Jong Un. While I support the cause and the need of dethroning Kim Jong Un, but I can't really think this movement will gain any traction! In the meantime, the group that is selling such invalid product may make some money!
This could add some money to the pocket of the one who has taken the seed forward. As of now Kim Jong Un can't be dethroned from the power. Soon we'll get the news about his dictatorship throwing away this invalid product. I find him as a leader who makes the Trump government shatter. Just on that indirectly full negative things were spread about Kim Jong Un.

I will be surprised if they can manage to really overthrow Kim Jong-un. What's next for Cheollima Civil Defense Use Bitcoin to overthrow Donald Trump?
This isn't politics, and I'm not a very politically-minded person, but Trump doesn't need to be overthrown.  That's not to say that I like him very much, because I don't.  But the thing is, he's only going to be president for a few more years at most and then he's out.  Kim?  I assume there's no term limits on a dictatorship.

Anyway, at least there's some use of the ETH network going on here, though I don't know about how useful this is going to be.  If my spidey-sense is telling me the right thing, probably not--just like most of these touted claims on the crypto news sites generally come to nothing.

I do hope N. Korean citizens can eventually get out if they want to, and I'm sure many of them do.  Contrary to what a lot of people think about Americans, there are a lot of us who can distinguish between an insane government and an oppressed people.  I've got nothing against N. Koreans.  It's the dictatorship that I'd like to see go down in flames.  And hell, I'd like to see a new US president too, while we're at it.

I wonder if they really could overthrow Kim Jong-un on that country it seems like a mission impossible but at least they don't wanna start a war by cooperating to these people in the government. What more could we expect if they really did it? We might see some huge adoption of bitcoin but most people on that country don't know what is the internet.

They have been deprived of so many basic things in life. So internet might be a luxury for them. And how to access the internet is another problem. I doubt how bitcoin or ethereum platforms will come in handy to these individuals.

Chances are that the revenues are going directly to the North Korean junta coffers. Do you really think any dissident group will be stupid enough to raise their funds this way?

Well, if it is true then we may see how cryptocurrencies are getting their mass adoption:

Yeah, we're seeing huuuuge adoption happening right here!
Lately, there is no scam that is not accepting cryptos!

My only consolation is that till now I haven't received an email from a Nigerian prince that is willing to give me the HDD that was owned by Satoshi with 1 million BTC on it if I send him 1000$ via WU.

Never heard of them, or perhaps they really are not that known in my circles or to possibly make it to headlines and big news. Anyway, we all know that it'll be hard to overthrow Kim Jong-un given how his constituents are ever so loyal to the guy, and knowing that the dude literally has his panic button ready should there be an uprising that becomes solid enough to actually do something to rule his way. Also, why are they selling visas already when the fact remains that the country is nowhere near liberation yet? Hmmm.

I would probably say that it is not something positive, yeah mass adoption good, but the purpose of using cryptocurrencies is more important, while it can again affect the rates

This reeks of a money making scheme lmao:

The CCD said that a Free Joseon Genesis Visa would cost 1 ETH (or 138 US dollars) per visa for the first 1,000 visas, adding that the group will not collect or request any data related to the visa’s owner or to their purchase of the visa.

It seems like nothing is really known about them as a group, so I don't think them taking over once Kim Jong Un is toppled is a given. This says they help North Korean defectors though, so it might be nice to support them. Other than that, it's a cool proof of concept I suppose.

In media they are becoming related with such shithole countries like Venezuela and North Korea. You guys shouldn't be surprised if you see a new pask of negative stereotypes about cryptocurrencies.
