Hey all ,
I unfortunately invested with payforks cloud Mining last month. When I tried to withdraw, It was disabled. I was asked to get IMP/IRS certificate to validate my investment. I was given a link of a company called IISC to get Certificate from so, I contacted them, they asked me to pay $2173(BTC) for Certificate to withdraw my ROI without any delay or interruption. So I paid for it, I was told that certificate was linked with my account and a code to withdraw would be sent shortly but got in a werk. I sent the code to the platform so that I could make withdrawal, but I had the same problem with withdrawal so I sent them several massages but had no response.

Now I would like you people suggest what should I do and how to find out if they are really scammer as they paid out till the end of April 2018. I was told , they have some problem with taxing authorities so they for the time being stopped paying out.

The simple truth was that you have been scammed not once but twice and that is purely your fault and I don't know why you allowed yourself to be scammed that way. First was when you invested with them and secondly when you go ahead and pay them for a non-existent certificate. Cloud mining has been the surest route to getting scammed in addition to the fact of excessive returns which must have encouraged you to invest in the first place and also pushed you to pay for the 'certificate' because the amount you are expected to have access to after that is way above the amount requested.

I can only say you have learnt your lessons and its time to move on and also for bringing enlightenment to people who might be thinking of engaging in that kind of investment. When its too good to be true, its a false situation which is abundant in this crypto economy.

You should always get suspicious when you see something close enough to "too good to be true" as it sounds the case with payforks mining. Its a scam but perhaps you can get some legal help advise, possibly;le?

The thing you done here is definitely careless and without any second doubts and proper analysis about the situation. Why would need for a certificate for you to withdraw? I do believe that  IISC was just the same person where that cloud mining do suggest of to snug out more money from you because of such desperation that they had seen in you. Asking more money is already signifying that this is indeed scam just like on most cloud mining sites in the market. For now you cant do nothing but to move on.Sorry for your loss.

Once they ask for money to withdraw your payment, that is an absolute scam. I'm just wondering why you did not refuse at first to pay that $2k because that is a already huge amount. Forget them and learn from that experience and remember not to trust online investments easily.
Understandable that you may encounter scam and fraud project specially if you don't have enough knowledge about different kind of ponzi works. So make sure that you know all the scam sign and their strategy to get it through.

Do you have list of trusted mining name or site? If yes, thanks in advance for it folks.
Cloud mining? I only know genesis, hashing24, and hashnest(idk if they still active or not). But you must know, investing in cloud mining are risky because difficulty its already high and its always increasing and bitcoin price went down. You won't get a good profit because maintenance fee.
All of them are scam so I dont recommend it for newbies, if you really want to invest in mining I would like to suggest that you invest your money in your own rig or ASIC miner because it's pysical miner and you can mine with your own and without paying maintenance fee.
So better to stay away in any cloud mining sites.
Even if they would choose up on legit cloud mining sites like Hashflare or Genesis you wont still be profitable which means cloud mining isnt really suggested either way.Having your own ASICs wont really be easy yet we do know on how those miners actually cost and only a few do have the capacity on buying up on their own and not only that the main factor should be considered first on having a miner is that electricity cost on your place. If you do see its profitable then proceed but if not then better not to tend to continue at all.

DEFINITION of 'Cloud Mining'

You invested money in those hyip/Ponzi sites that are created by scammers. and it seems to me that you like to have quick and easy profits:

Eaglebit Trade is safe to invest with?

Hello,

other ponzi scheme

Thanks for quoting the Eaglebit Trade, this will be a big tip or reminder to me as a newbie in cypto mining. Do you have list of trusted mining name or site? If yes, thanks in advance for it folks.

This is the site, right: https://payforksmining.com/?

Unfortunately, this is an obvious scam. There is no background whatsoever on the 'company' if you research it, and there is no proof that they are actually mining. Plus, their site just seems extremely unprofessional.

Indeed, there are too many scam sites offering cloud mining, invest in cloud mining is a mistake, and then pay $2000 is another mista ake, it's double kill for them Grin
However, if you find a legit cloud mining, I wouldn't recommend investing. Have some research and calculation, you will find it's easier and more profitable to trading bitcoin, simply buy and sell at a higher price. If you don't know how it works, hold bitcoin for 3-6 months.
Invest in cloud mining will take several months to reach ROI, but you will get more money by hold and sell it.

Exactly what I'm thinking as well.

The fact that they're asking for OP for money in return for a so called 'certificate' is obviously ridiculous and purely fictional. It's playing on the minds of people who have just gotten conned, but they still have some hope of getting their funds reimbursed. Just like in OP's case, obviously. Indeed, it's double the profit for the scammers.

I wouldn't say that cloud mining is always unprofitable, but 99% of the time, they are either ponzi schemes that aren't actually mining, or will be incredibly unprofitable over the long term. I wouldn't even invest in Hashflare, which is regarded to be more trustworthy than a random one that OP has found on google (namely Payforks) due to their shady behaviour.

How many times do you people will ever stop on investing such a cloud mining? There's no legit cloud mining these days and it has long gone already because of a bunch of scammers scattered all around the world. If you did invest on a real mining not just like a cloud mining piece of shit you should be able to gain your profit today with a good return for your investment.

Now I would like you people suggest what should I do and how to find out if they are really scammer as they paid out till the end of April 2018.

Sit down and move on. When did you invest into that service? There are countless posts here telling about NOT investing in cloud mining, but you didn't bother do inform yourself before investing, hm? Well at least you know now.

Ignore it bro. These newbie will not follow the previous advice given various thread about the cloud mining website. I have seen the many cloud mining projects scamming the investors here and advertising on the forum too.
I do not know why people are not looking the review thread all the time and loosing the fund and complaint about it.
Finally words for the newbie who wanna invest on cloud mining, you are going behind the ponzi schemes.

Never heard of this cloud mining company, but didn't you know already that investing on any cloud mining company is like donating your money? lol it is not worth it even you found a legit one. In your case you probably got scammed and no one to be blamed but your self, it is your greed that will always takes you in trouble. Before you invest to something be sure that you understand everything and make a background check of the company. So what to do? better forget about your money because you will not be able to get any refund from a scammer. That problem with tax might just an excuse to make an exit scam.

The site itself is fishy as fuck upon first inspection from me- almost no sites have 'live' latest transaction counters, and an unknown site like payforks doesn't have nearly enough traffic to have as many transactions as they are showing; this is extremely common with BTC scam sites nowadays. They just pull random transactions off the blockchain, like what blockchain.info shows on this page. They also show that they somehow reach 10TH/s SHA256 with GPU rigs on their site, and that they use the antiquated HashCoins Scrypt miners under their 'CPU' hardware- what? Nothing makes sense on this site, and it's extremely poorly made at best.

You simply don't need any sort of certificate in order to withdraw money that is yours, and it just further reinforces the fact that they are scam. It simply doesn't make any sense, paying $2k to withdraw your own money? Clearly, they were just trying to get as much money from you as possible. Please, do some research and use your common sense next time before putting money into these scam/ponzi schemes.

I have never heard of a company called "payforks mining" before, which probably means bad news for you.

I agree with Steamtyme, it doesn't look good for you at the moment. Your money is held up in a cloud mining service that probably doesn't even mine anything. The sole reason that they exist is to scam investors out of their money.

If you earn anything, that money should be yours. You shouldn't be required to pay more money in order to withdraw your existing profits, that just doesn't make any sense. No legit company would do this to you.

Consider this money gone since I dont' see any probability that they will pay you back. But just keep an eye out for these scams in the future, and cloud mining in general.

So I just looked them up. Here are a few things, they say they have been around since 2014 but their website was registered in 2018.

They do give an American address as their base of operations. You can start by looking there to see if there is any legal action you can take against them. Unfortunately though I think it was just a random address because here is a link to the google streetview. It doesn't look good

I was checking into their "blocks" and it didn't matter what I looked for I couldn't find proof that they had hit any blocks. Even the latest that they say they hit is a lie from what I can see.

So odds are you got scammed at this point. The biggest flag for me was that to get your rightfully earned investment payout you needed to talk to a new organization and pay 2000+ dollars in untraceable BTC to get your payout. Also the 100% everything is great info they put at the bottom of the page; good luck trying to recover anything.

You can go and open up a scam accusation on the forum, or do a write-up in the services section to help others.

Thank you for your reply. First of all, It wasn't free anything , I invest in mining which still running and the profit is going up but can't payout. They also claim that they are registered with World trade insurance and got a confirmation from them before I invested.
