it takes ages to get 100 confirmations. It wasnt required last time...
If by ages you mean 100 blocks x 10 minutes = 1000 minutes = 16.66 hours, then yes... it takes 16 hours 40 minutes. (on average)

The coinbase aging requirement has always been there, if you don't like it you can join a different pool, but in the end they just end up paying you funds like 2 days later anyways, so waiting for 100 confirms is faster.

You can also create your own version of bitcoin if you want. One that doesn't have the coinbase aging requirement... but removing the coinbase aging requirement can cause some gnasty problems imo.

Eligius pays miners using coinbase transaction (block generation transaction with no inputs).
You can't spend it until it have 100/120 confirmations (some wallets uses 100, some uses 120).

Oh... so i have to wait...

cheers guys!

I'm guessing one of the inputs is a block reward that has not matured yet. Please make sure the mining payout is actually 120 blocks.

Hi,

what do you mean my 120 blocks?
That means i have to wait for quite a few hours?

Thanks!

Hi,

So I got my precious 0.07460289 after 2 days of mining + 1 day of payout queuing in Eligius.st

The tx has 14 confirmations by the time i am writing this thread. I wanted to buy something using the bitcoins i have.

Here is the total amount of btc i have currently:

So when I start to write the amount that Im going to pay, which is 0.05, it says not enough funds:

However, if I type the amount to up to 0.00304222btc (please refer to 1st picture), which is the balance i had before my payout... It works...

What is the minimum confirmations Electrum requires in order to update my max balance? It worked before, not anymore.

Thanks
