This is not a good signal and possible that India will ban the coin as their is not a single healthy debate which has taken place regarding it. Its all said is that report will be submitted by the committee and then the govt will look into it. Also not much positive things being heard in this space form this country yet.
Then India will join the wild goose chase that Russia and China have done so far. In the end, pushing Bitcoin development offshore while Indians developers continue to support and grow Bitcoin and themselves along with it. Bitcoin is too big to be stopped or banned. Economical ramifications itself would force gov. to accept defeat.
Besides, Bitcoin and Bitcoin exchanges are the only way gov. can bring those untaxed under the tax revenue.
