Normally I would ask if there is a reason why you wouldnt just plug them in anyway?

But in this case, those are the scariest looking risers I have ever seen. I wouldnt even use those. It looks like an unpowered riser with extra power plug lazily soldered onto the side. That and they are double the price of a powered riser.
I'm aware of the price, but I'd rather start mining this week than wait a month.

Hello everyone,

I've bought these cheap looking risers while waiting for more quality risers, just so I can start mining faster.

However, I'm wondering if I really should plug them in with molex cables when the AsRock BTC R2 already have extra molex connections on the motherboard? I've read people both saying you should use both but also read people saying that you don't need powered risers with that motherboard as long as the molex's are connected to the motherboard.

This is what I purchased: https://mineshop.eu/cables/24cm-pci-express-pci-e-x1-to-16x-riser-cable-detail

Thanks
