I am using LTC since 2017. Have to agree that the transaction fee and the time required for confirmation are low. But there are a few practical difficulties with LTC. Liquidity is low for Litecoin. In most of the exchanges, daily volumes are quite small and it will be difficult for the merchants to convert large amount of LTC to fiat at once. Second difficulty is regarding the storage. It is not easy to store LTC (or perhaps I am unaware of good online wallets for LTC).

I am surprise that LTC were able to be part of pornhub payments, I am not surprise for BTC as I am expecting it already but with regards to LTC. I thought EOS or Eth will be the 2nd crypto currencies that they will accept but my
expectation didn't hit correctly.

Just imagine that people who are not into Bitcoin especially those that are against cryptocurrency get to see it, they will then start describing Bitcoin as a currency that’s being used in the dark web and porn sites, and that will taint the whole thing.

They only accepted crypto payments last year I guess, I'm not sure if it is last year, because there were some conflicts with paypal, and paypal stopped their operation with pornhub. But noo they decided to add that shitcoin Verge(XVG) first. But whatever, better late than never.
There is a lot better crypto than bitcoin, I also questioned why they selected Verge and I got 2 answers on my mind.1. With less popular coin the transfer will be instant as there is no traffic on the network, and less fees of course.

Many people that visit an adult website want to be anonymous, they do not even want people to see the trace. Not even the banks that produce the cards they used in purchasing premium content so I believe this should have been accepted by the adult website for a long time ago. My expectation was also like BTC would obviously be the No 1 spot and second was by default for me it would have being ETH. But considering the LTC is very big surprise for me and I think one of the reasons could be that ETH currently the fees is very high, and this could prevent users to use their site as many would have avoided. So, they went with LTC and some push can now happen with LTC as I know there are many users on this forum as well who uses the site.

The target market for Crypto currency payments for porn, is the customer that does not want to leave evidence on centralized databases of his or her porn habits. So if you are into weird porn and you have some reason to hide it, then you can create a anonymous account and use pseudo anonymous crypto currencies to pay for it.

Bitcoin didn't offer them the ability to take part in a pump and dump...so there's that.And porn's reluctance to move to crypto has more to do with rebilling than anything else. The bread and butter of the industry is banging credit cards month after month, something bitcoin doesn't do very well.

Pornhub is still a bit fringe in terms of what services are provided there. I think it's still an important milestone but to be honest nowhere near as an indicator that this would lead to global acceptance.
PH had been experimenting with crypto already with Verge a few years ago. So it's not something entirely new anyway. But cool to see that porn is embracing bitcoin at least. The two fit well together imo.

btc and eth are like tandem but eos can come 3rd or lower than that because eos popularity or its support is not wider as this 2 coin or on other top coins that came first before eos . expectation didn't hit correctly.

I saw this announcement on one of the more popular cryptocurrency websites that I can't think of the name of at this moment but my first thought was why didn't this happen a long time ago. I have "heard from friends" that there are plenty of other pornographic/adult entertainment websites out there that have been accepting bitcoin for quite some time. To me it was a no brainer move. there are always other motivating factors behind the scene when someone adds an altcoin first to their platform while ignoring bitcoin, specially when that altcoin is a very unknown (not used by anyone outside exchanges) and a low quality coin with nothing to offer.
eventually as time passes by and that altcoin dies or continues its death spiral and more importantly when their platform never receives any payment through that altcoin, they have to give it up. but they don't want to just go away entirely. that is when they do what they should have done at the start and add bitcoin!

Sensationalist title, we're still very, very far away from seeing BTC getting accepted worldwide. Just because a porn site suddely joined the bandwagon doesn't mean everyone's gonna do it :/
People actually pay PornHub for their premium service(pretty much full-length videos afaik); and now that a lot of countries and states are in quarantine(hence a lot of people won't be seeing their significant others), I wouldn't be surprised if their revenues are higher.
it's gotta be. This is not new at all, do we already forget titcoin? it was an altcoin powered by the porn industry too, and the way to get some easy coins was by sending a tits photo, in theory, they should be real ones. So, the cryptos have been on the porn side since some years ago...
No one cares about altcoins dedicated to some single use, like this titcoin that you mention, or weedcoins or whatever, they were always been shitcoins, because this idea of having a separate currency for every use case is stupid, the whole point of money is to make it exchangeable for everything.
You'd expect controversial "services" like porn sites would be the first to adopt bitcoin due to people probably not wanting to pay through their credit cards. But noo they decided to add that shitcoin Verge(XVG) first. But whatever, better late than never.
Shitcoins can offer companies a lot of $$ for partnering with them, Bitcoin gets adopted because it's actually good.

I do not think it will, in anyways, increase the USD values of Bitcoin or Litecoin as PH does accept Fiat but it makes life simpler for crypto community just in case they want to use their Bitcoin to get entertained.

It isn't about price at this point, its about adoption. PH won't increase price, but being able to say that a big player in arguably the most important industry
uses Bitcoin means people will think its a good thing to look into.

I am not really able to judge if this should be a good news for bitcoin or a bad one.
While being positive, it's good that pornhub has implemented bitcoin and litecoin payments since it will increase the rate of payments made through bitcoin.
But if we look at it from another perspective it will encourage users to use their porn services since they can easily make BTC payments while not revealing their fantary in their bank statement. In one way, it will kind of encourage users to use anonymous services for illegal stuff provided pron is banned in their country.

Porn industry is one of the silent industries raking in billions of dollars every year without making noise and the reason is because majority of people because of their religious and moral backgrounds do not want to be associated with the industry openly but secretly, they are much more invested which is the reason why the traffic to the sites is more alarming for anyone who is hearing about it for the first time or reading about the documentary on the industry.
I don't know if we can call them silent since we usually taking the volumes down while watching

I would personally not take this as a "global acceptance" move. It may be one of the largest industries in the world, but I am really intrigued to see whether it'll be a long-lasting thing or they'll remove it after a while as other large platforms did.

Verge probably paid a lot of money to do the PornHub thing. If I remember correctly, it was right when all shitcoins were on a boom - and they tried (successfully, at the time) to pump theirs even more by this "collab". Otherwise, they wouldn't have had all those vans with Verge and PH on them..i don't know how to comment this but i hope gaming industry join the vibes.
Steam had BTC as a payment method years ago. Microsoft did as well, until 2015 IIRC. They removed it due to the extreme volatility.now that a lot of countries and states are in quarantine(hence a lot of people won't be seeing their significant others), I wouldn't be surprised if their revenues are higher.

Not really a fan of that site as well but I do think that a lot of people would really pay for those videos. I mean yeah, you can watch videos for free there but there are people who are really willing to spend on those videos, especially when they have enough money to pay for it. Pornhub is earning millions of revenues so it just means that they have a lot of users paying them. That's still great that they finally added more options and accepted bitcoin though it took them some time before realizing it.

The important part bitcoin price back to the moon is adoption, I think the pornhub come in the right time. At the end of the August bitcoin's price surge to touch $12000 barrier again which I think this price will be made as a support area.
Seem like bitcoin will be adopted by some companies who is not legal to be used in all countries. Like my countriy who still ban all pornographic sites and also the gambling site as well. Although we still have a chance to see them with VPN service.

So people who subscribe to PornHub don't need to use their credit/debit card to be their member. Using bitcoin and litecoin, they can hide their identity because the PornHub will not know who their members are. But people who subscribe to that site need to think about their ISP because some ISP will block access to porn and gambling websites.
With so many people visiting on the PornHub, it will give another promotion for bitcoin and litecoin because people will see that now they have another option to subscribe to the PornHub. It can provide more time for bitcoin and litecoin to have new people who will use bitcoin and litecoin which the porn industries promote. I think there will be another promotion from other industries that want to introduce cryptocurrency to the public.

I lot of people are not really comfortable in using their debit/credit card in purchasing their subscription because it will show on their statement. So it's really preferable for them to use cryptocurrency instead. I still remember, there was a platform called xotika.tv who had initiated such experiments with cryptocurrency!

Well, it's indeed nice to know. Last time, they are only accepting Verge coin. Now they are accepting btc and ltc for their premium accounts. Those subscribers and users will enjoy watching and at the same time spending bitcoin payments in an online platform.
