Hello HCP and Abdussamad,

thanks for your replies.
I'm getting anxious now....my wallet is synced, green dot, right amount of blockheight. And this wallet is the only one I ever made so the seed I have can not be from another wallet!
I again created a new wallet with 2FA. It does not contain any bitcoins.
What else could cause this?
Thanks....

If you have lost you GAuth, but have your seed, you can restore an Electrum 2FA wallet in one of two ways...

If you want to continue using 2FA:

1. File -> New\Restore -> Wallet with two-factor authentication -> I already have a seed -> [enter 2fa seed] -> KEEP -> click "I lost my google authenticator" -> [re-enter 2fa seed] -> get GAuth setup info

If you no longer want to continue using 2FA:
2. File -> New\Restore -> Wallet with two-factor authentication -> I already have a seed -> [enter 2fa seed] -> DISABLE

Then I made a new wallet with the same seed and disabled 2FA. The new wallet doesn't contain any BC.
If neither of these methods recreates your original wallet with the same addresses, then the seed you have is NOT the seed for the 2FA wallet you were using Undecided

If it creates the same addresses, but is not showing any coins, chances are that the wallet just isn't synced properly. Check that Electrum is connected and synced (green dot in bottom right corner) and check the "network" settings and make sure the number of blocks matches the current Bitcoin Blockchain height

AFAIK, you need to get your secret key from TrustedCoin to make a wallet from 2FA to a regular wallet.

This is incorrect. He restored from seed so he doesn't need anything else.

@Yp108 is your restored wallet synced correctly? What color circle do you see in the bottom right?

Also do you see familiar addresses on the addresses tab? Go to view menu > show addresses to display that tab.

Thanx JackG,

my presumption is that I lost the 2Fa code on my phone but maybe it was never there....I can't remember, I only made a transaction once from my account.
This can not be true...I ll solve it, thanks again.

Hello,

I have an Electrum wallet. I lost my Authentication code on my phone. I have the seed. I tried restoring it through a new wallet with the same seed, first with a new code, which was not recognized when making a transaction (invalid OTP). Then I made a new wallet with the same seed and disabled 2FA. The new wallet doesn't contain any BC. My BC's seem stuck. Can you please tell me what to do? Thanks for your help. (running latest Electrum version).

AFAIK, you need to get your secret key from TrustedCoin to make a wallet from 2FA to a regular wallet.
Otherwise it wouldn't be secure as you can acces the same see dwith just a password in the regular wallet so it would be easily got by any hacker and used. I think you can log onto TrustedCoin to get the secret but I may be wrong there. If not, then you may have lost your funds unless you have a backup of the TrustedCoin secret, the Authenticator Secret Key or an ability to log intoyour trustedcoin account to get the same key you used to make the wallet initially.
