I'd cut a piece of plywood and make some spacers and start stacking cards on top of the Asus card..
Dude...first things first, dust off that poor graphic card and the rest of the hardware 
your rig will be thankful and might even run a bit less hot.
You should put your rig in a room with a good airflow, preferably dry(obviously not bathroom lol), spacious room less misc stuff...something in that order by my priority.
