So Slush's Pool is not seeing your worker.
If you click on 'Console' in GUI Miner and read carefully, can you see anything logged about connection attempts?

On your account page on Slush's site, near the bottom, do you see a hash rate reported for your worker?
Hash rate for the past 10 is 0
Everything else is 0 and difficulty is 1
So im trying to mine but I don't think it's working. I'm joining slush pool and I download the GUI miner recommended for beginners. I entered my info,pressed start and my dash rate per second was changing but nothing else was and there is nothing confirmed.
You can use BitMinter, its really easy for newbies.
Its a Bitcoin Mining pool with own mining app.
