Have you noticed lately there are lots of coin swaps happening?

I have noticed that some are not giving hardly any notification and very little time for people to swap their coins over.

This seems to be like a total rip off.

I saw some guy commenting that he originally bought millions of X coin as long term investment. Came back and his coins are no longer usable because there was a coin swap and he is too late.

This is fair enough if you announce on the main thread, give months and months even years to swap over and there is a pot retained for late swappers. However I see some now giving no announcement and only a few weeks.

I mean you could go on vacation come back the swap has taken place and your coins are now essentially gone?

This coin swapping is another thing that should have specific guidelines really if it takes place. I would say minimum of a year to give people a chance and be advertised on the main forum. Also a % should be held back for late swaps that can prove they mined before the swap date.

Have you been a victim of a coin swap that essentially took your coins away? How much notice did you get and how helpful were they with you?

I know when coins break you may need to swap but seriously giving a few weeks with no announcements and no assistance then just saying sorry your coins are now junk is totally scandalous.

1. annoucements for months a head.
2. swap period many many months
3. announce on the main board.
4. hold reserves for a year after to pay late comers
5. proof of destroying the old coins too.
