The topic has been discussed over and over again, about 2FA etc. A lot of people were also requesting and proposing this kind of additional security to Bitcointalk but I don't know the exact reason why it is not getting implemented, maybe because it'll take a lot of time or something. As time passes, hacked issues (due to being careless) will definitely increase for sure so I believe that this one will be implemented in the future. Just keep your account safe until then.

The idea is good, but it is not clear how much will it cost to develop a new mods and how long it will take.
Perhaps it will be simpler to have an additional pin code that you will need to enter when changing any data in the profile.
This may increase the credibility of the account.

While that is needed to verify your account atm, it hasn't helped anyone get their account back for about a year I believe.

The strong password is sound advice but is still useless if you get hit with a keylogger or phishing site.

If 2Fa were introduced I doubt many users or the forum for that matter would want to deal with phone numbers/doing it by text. Email would be nice, as that's easy enough to set a notification on your phone.

I think, is it necessary to add notifications when I want to enter a bitcointalk account. There must be notification via email, 2fa or cellphone.

To reduce crime by irresponsible people or people who have hacked personal bitcointalk accounts.
Do you think that is necessary?
To avoid this you can use you can verify your signature. In this case you should use your signature which is staked/quoted atleast 3 months ago. And if so, you do not need any confirmation or 2fa enabled. Also if you used high protected password that can help you avoid being hacked.

It could definitely be useful, but i don't really see it as a priority. If my account were to be hacked i could surely react a lot faster though.

Something that has been suggested a lot already and something that i'd love to see even more is 2FA, either by email, SMS, or even PGP (if that's possible), for a new, unknown login. Prevention of a hack is obviously much better.
I believe that this is planned for the new forum though, but who knows when that'll see light of day.

I hope it really happens, and the stronger the security to use a bitcointalk account, and of course that will reduce the risk of crime that has occurred, but do not know when it will respond?
I'm just waiting for advice and input from some friends here?
