Do any of you *really* need to be alerted every time any person talks about you? Are you really that paranoid?

There's a "show new replies" link at the top of every page, why do any of you feel the need to Troll any keystroke that is made?

What's the point?

When you agree to receive notifications when a pop-up message appears [Are you sure you wish to enable notification of new replies for this topic?] then you should be aware and agree that all users who reply to the topic you choose to receive notifications will be sent to your email as a notification. This is an automated message from the forum when you enable the feature, and you will not be able to ignore certain users whose profiles you have ignored.
You are on point about this by virtue of how the system works in general, but with what I believe the OP is asking, I don't think how the system works is strange to him as well. He's asking if there is a solution to the entire system where ignored users would not be included in the notification.

I know this might be possible but would not be easy due to the site and notifier's integration on how such could change before a notification is sent. It's a command to exclude the ignored user by the notifier, maybe this wasn't done since the issue was not pressing.

On second thought, the person may want to delete the message or double-ignore it to safe people stress. Wink

First of all, this thread is about email notifications that the forum sends when someone posts in your threads on Bitcointalk. You are showing a screenshot and discussing TryNinja's Telegram notifications bot. Those are two very different things.

Do you receive a new email every time there is a new post in the threads you are supposed to receive notifications for or does it work sometimes and sometimes not?
Still works, Just received  some notifications today

If it doesn't work maybe you should  start again  and retrack the thread (in my little knowledge) Smiley

I don’t know when this was instated, but I noticed today that my Cybertruck thread had been bumped and I didn’t get a notification because I’ve ignored the user who made the post. This seems to be a new change?
I have often seen complaints of users saying they don't receive email notifications for new posts in their threads, so it could just be that. How does it generally work for you? Do you receive a new email every time there is a new post in the threads you are supposed to receive notifications for or does it work sometimes and sometimes not?

Don't allowed notifications from topic you created but partially you can used a telegram bots because it has more functions to allow some specific mentioned and, maybe you can track a topic and whoever posted over there, just as what is being shown in the image below.

So here when you put a user on ignore list and your topic is on track even though they posted on your thread or a topic you created you won't received notification from them except for the email notification and what would do is to edit the thread and disable it so that you won't keep receiving mails from those users you already ignored. Note; those user you ignored on forum you still need to copy down their username to the bots to also ignore them otherwise if you created another topic they will still post and you get notified from those people you ignored through forum without also ignoring them with the bots.

I've tried but there isn't a way to disable notifications about new posts if it's from a user you've ignored. If we're going to make suggestions for the forum the list's going to be long. I don't know about the criteria which's going to be taken by forum mods to select suggestions. If there's a suggestions or improvements list with a poll it's going to allow forum users to have a voice.

Is there a way to disable notifications about the new post, if it comes from ignored user?
On the topic page, the content is hidden, but for the each new post I receive an email (with post content inside).

This would be a welcomed addition. It’s almost like you can’t escape the harassment of certain individuals at times using only what the forum provides. You can setup rules in your email so that when certain users post on your threads it will auto delete the notification, but that’s having to go to some lengths to get away from the cries for attention from your suitors. I think adding a feature to remove notifications from ignored users would be a welcomed addition to the forum and be a step in the right direction of removing power from troublemakers.

This seems to be a new change? Possible it was announced and I just missed it because I don’t pay much attention to the workings of the forum nowadays, but it’s new to me and much appreciated whoever made it happen.  Smiley

Interesting suggestion and I would absolutely support if such a possibility existed. It makes sense. I don't have such problems personally, but if I don't want to read someone's posts because they are on my ignore list, why would I have to receive notifications that they posted in the threads I follow? If the forum software limitations allow for such modifications, I guess theymos could create it.

I would probably think that the question is like a specific proposal to get changes to the preference settings of the notification feature [option ignore certain users], but so far no one has complained about that before you or maybe I missed it. The automatic solution is, cancel the topic notifications because if you set preferences in email then it means you will block forum notifications entirely, IMO.

At least none of these notification feature settings can help you ignore forum notifications from certain users.
