Before I open this thread, I thought it is an old post which has been made in late 2017. Now you don't have to pay high fees, as the network is no longer busy. Most probably the problem is the wallet you are using or you might withdrawing the funds from an exchange.

So, how about you give it a rest?
Good luck with that. If he gives it a rest how will he increase his post count and rank up? Oh wait merit..
I was surprised to see he got 2 merits until I found why he got: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--3047012
Do you agree that now a days bitcoin takes too much time in transfer from one to another account, also the transfer fees are high ?
I did one transfer which takes almost more than hour and fee is also high...
You can just quit using then if you're ignorant to see or learn anything. The highest fee that my wallet is charging me is around 1$. Oh sorry I forgot that its too expensive for you.

Nope. Transaction fees are very low, I've sent weeks ago my BTC wallet and it smoothly goes on plus the fee was too low. I think what you are talking about is when you will cash out your money, isn't it? Well, in my case, the more I've withdraw my BTC the more it is high.

There must be a mistake because fees are very low these days. Possibly your wallet has a high fee as a default and you didn't change it. I used to send for just a few cents lately, easy to spend almost nothing especially if you are not too much in a hurry.

Transaction fees are extremely low, you can even pay 1 sat/b and your transaction will get through after a couple of blocks. You shouldn't look at the time because sometimes there aren't any new block even for 30 minutes!

Current transaction fees are under 10 satoshi/byte (about 16 cents) as you can see [u r l=https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/]here[/url], and they've been like this for the last couple of months.

that website is not so good when it comes to suggesting appropriate fees. they always suggest a higher fee for transactions for some reason.
the fact is currently transactions with 1 to 5 satoshi per byte are having high priority which means being confirmed in the next block that is found. and that amount of fee is about 1-2 cents.

Yes, I agree with you we see that there is a lot much more potential to altcoin regarding with the fees and speed like ethereum and such, having the ultimate possibility to surpass bitcoin.

Well at least you already got your precious post count eh?

I suggest that you try transacting with bitcoin right now as you have no idea on what you're talking about. You and OP must be living in an alternate universe or something. If anything, BTC transactions might even be cheaper than ETH transactions right now, or at least equal in fees.

Well at least you already got your precious post count eh?

Are you still stuck in 2017? Or are you just posting this just for post-count purposes? Because I don't know what coin you're actually using as bitcoin has been fast and cheap for like 2 months already.
Currently we only have 2012 Unconfirmed Transactions[1]. I could send a transaction for like 10 cents and it would go through in no time.

Just shows how a lot of people here are only for the airdrops, and nothing else.

No, i disagree.
I think now transaction of bitcoin are way faster and cheaper then it was, say last year autumn.
And if you check the mempool you will see it is empty, that is why they are fast

Why bitcoin transaction take too much time now a days?

Since the beginning of this year bitcoin transaction time is too long...
We have to wait for the hours to get the bitcoin..

What is the reason behind it ?
Does anyone know it?

And although people have told you that you are wrong and you should check what you,re doing wrong, you open another one just as pointless with no info provided.

And it seems you have a fetish for this since, you have another thread, with the same stuff:

Bitcoin versus other crypto currency ?

What you think bitcoin will overcome by other cryptos in the market ?
As transaction speed and fees are too high with the bitcoin now a days..
Where other cryptos provide less transaction fees and fast transaction.

So, how about you give it a rest?

I just made made a transaction not long ago. The fee was 3 cents and it took some 15 minutes for the first confirmation.
Now, if you use the wrong wallet, the fee can be higher, but clearly far from what we had in December. And the transfer taking "almost more than an hour" sounds very strange. My take is that you tried to withdraw from an exchange, the withdraw (not tx) fees were high and, because the exchange was grouping the withdrawals, it took long (since it took long until the exchange actually started the transaction).

Are you sure that you live in 2018? Transaction fees are extremely low, you can even pay 1 sat/b and your transaction will get through after a couple of blocks. You shouldn't look at the time because sometimes there aren't any new block even for 30 minutes! When you compare current transaction fees (a few cents) and the ones that were a few months ago, there is an enormous difference. Your transaction fee may vary because of many things such as number of inputs, outputs and even your wallet which might suggest you a high fee or don't allow you to change it.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
I don't know what wallet you're sending from, but it's recommending the wrong fees.

Current transaction fees are under 10 satoshi/byte (about 16 cents) as you can see here, and they've been like this for the last couple of months.

Admittedly the fees can be quite inconsistent, but the fees and transaction times are fairly good right now.
