Trump probably don't have any knowledge about what bitcoin it is just like 99% of the politicians so how can you follow someone's statement when they even actually don't know what it is?

Don't follow anyone while making investment, just get inspired and make your own way.

Exactly. I'd take Trump's advice on real estate, but I want my Bitcoin expert to at least use a personal computer.

Who cares about this madman?! When he was in the White House and the president of the largest country in the world, no one cared about him. What will make people care about his words now that he is out of the White House?
There have been many men in the history of Bitcoin who had a much greater influence than Trump and said a lot of bad statements about Bitcoin, but none of them were able to influence Bitcoin, on the contrary, every time the price of Bitcoin fell a little, but it came back much stronger than before.

Is he my adviser for things that I shall do in life? and just because he says that bitcoin is a scam, why should I take myself out of the market already and sell everything I've got?
You've forgotten that there were many of them who told bitcoin is a scam. We're all tired when someone keeps on saying it because there's no way for them to prove it to people like us who have proven it for years.

It’s more the left that is obsessed with Trump and changes their behavior based on what Trump says. Maybe they will now rush to buy it?

What the leftist Trump haters don’t understand is that it’s his fundamental political beliefs that his supporters care about. Nobody gives a fuck about his opinion on crypto or how shitty of a husband/employer he is except the snowflakes obsessed with him.

hmmmm interesting counter argument.

So you're saying that leftist are the ones affected by the principles and words of "TRUMP", rather than the republicans being affected?

Analyzing that, the recent events like capital riot spark because of trumps statement "We fight like hell," said. "And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore." which is a clear sign that his supporters believes in it.

On the otherhand, there is no proof that trump's action will turn to something like you said, "Maybe they will now rush to buy it? " which you preferred to them buying btc because of this statement.

I'm not a leftist, rightist or any kind of political term you used in USA. -just saying

LOL Little Donny isn't even president anymore and he's still crying about how bad bitcoin is. He's shilling for the feds on his own spare time!  Cheesy

What a spineless chump bitch.

Trump is, and always was, just a tool.  His soul was bought and paid for a long long time ago.  Way back in his youth as a lackey and probable butt-boy of Roy Cohn.  Maybe even before that.

The only people more weak-minded than him are the people who voted for him.

I voted against Hillary Clinton (breaking my rule of not voting in federal or state level elections.)  I don't especially regret it because his 4 years kinda interfered in some key ways with the implementation of a certain plan.  It got the Fabian Socialists and the Talmudic Judaics in kind of a power struggle and the former at least aware that someone else is gunning to steal their lunch.  Will they come to an agreement?  Or will they enter an internecine power struggle?  Hopefully (for the sake of humanity since either vision is one of doom) the latter will transpire.

Meanwhile Biden has yet to say peep about Bitcoin. Make of that what you will.

It's probably well above Biden's pay-grade, and his senile mind won't even allow him to read a teleprompter about such 'advanced' topics.

it's like your saying that trump supporters(you probably are) lack the ability to think for themselves and would mindlessly follow everything that he says. just because they support trump politically doesn't mean that they would follow everything that he says, especially if it has something to do with money.

I think that any Republican who dares to think for themselves and doesn't blindly follow Trump's every whim is called a RINO. It's Trump's party now.

Having said that, he didn't actually tell his supporters to sell their bitcoins. Who knows, maybe they do believe him and want to have a piece of the "scam".

The only people more weak-minded than him are the people who voted for him.

Maybe nobody did. I keep hearing the election was fake. Maybe Biden got 120% of the vote. We'll never know.

Trump supporters are not very intelligent or logical people. They will continue to worship him no matter what. He can call their wife ugly and they still support him, look at Ted Cruz. Right wingers talk about freedom but also seem to want Trump as their dictator. Bitcoin doesn't care about Trump or Elizabeth Warren. People that actually care about freedom and equality are not just going to lay down and let politicians rob them of the opportunity for a better life.

Trump saying Bitcoin is a scam is not the problem, the point here is Bitcoin really a scam? If no, then why listen to someone with little knowledge about Bitcoin. Selling your Bitcoin and leaving the crypto community, basically because someone said is a scam, someone who is probably not into Bitcoin.
However, many people will be dropping from cryptocurrency, because they trust whatever Trump says.

Basically Trump has many followers here so now that he said Bitcoin is a scam, will you sell it? Will you leave Bitcointalk? After all, you trust this man, right?

if I said that there are no people who follow him to the point of doing everything he says I would be deceiving myself. the reality is that everywhere there is some fanatic who doesn't think for himself and is deluded by politicians. by that I mean that these statements are no surprises because since years of his tenure he has always held this position and the fact that he is the kind of person who is always with golden things to imagine that he still does not have an open thinking capable of looking at something innovative like bitcoin. But he has something that needs to be said: Politicians follow the wave. if he ever sees that the bitcoin community is a lot of people in the US then he could support bitcoin just because he would win voters

Context man!
He said "it seems like a scam" and because he wanted the Dollar to be the world currency. It's more like a political statement as a hardcore nationalist.
But right wingers love gold, so why don't they love Bitcoin? Again, money is not equal to currency.

Media reports Trump jumps off of a bridge...

Me: OK if Trump does it why not because I like his politics to a certain degree... whoooffff

Me Falling

Hell naw...

Just because Trump says something or does something doesn't mean that I'm all in for him. Do you think the same of Joe Biden and do exactly what he says and believe and mime him?

So here is what I disagree with Trump on: his push of the vaccines, allowing the lockdowns as long as he has, and not going after big tech. So really he only gave us three good years then let it all go to shit the last year. So far Biden is off to a good start shutting down Keystone, not finishing the border wall and keeping the COVID unemployment payouts going thereby inflating the job market which will reverse to a halt when the payouts stop or inflation of the free lunch eats into people's lives which will happen soon (technically last one I can sort of blame Trump for). Do you agree with all of these policies that he has implemented?

So really Trump's last year was a stark reminder for me not to fully trust politicians even if they give you good times. I'd say this sell off from the last few days is like every other forcing the weak hands to sell to the strong hand hodlers. This has now reversed today as El Salvador is writing into law that BTC is now a currency. Paraguay is proposing a similar bill and El Salvador will try to mine crypto using geo-thermal energy from volcanos in their country.

With Biden in office, El Salvador and Paraguay may need to build their own walls to keep illegal American immigrants from migrating to their country Cheesy

I really don't think people in this industry would take the words of Donald Trump seriously. The guy clearly has no idea about what he is talking about since he is a close minded traditional kind of guy. Specially after all the tweets he posted on Twitter, I don't think that even the people who are unfamiliar with this industry would easily believe Donald Trump. Right now, I along with many people I know just share anything from Donald Trump for entertainment. The guy has made himself a laughingstock for a lot of people. Just ignore him, that'll be better for everyone.

Billionaire doesn't like Bitcoin? What??!? No way. Most of the people that take Trump's word for everything without thinking are probably too stupid to understand the novelty of Bitcoin anyways. I usually compare those people to the same people that stormed the capitol building because they thought the election was stolen.

Do you know what a fallacy is?

Hitler believed that the earth is round.

I believe the earth is round.

Therefore I am a Nazi.

That's what you're doing.
