^^^ It's not a law. It's an advisory. If they try to enforce it, do it and send them an invoice for $259,000 for wasting your time and taking your freedoms.

Don't worry guys, I've just heard that they are going to pass a law to force all cats to obey social distancing rules, and to wear paw coverings.

Any cat that disobeys will be deemed to be a pussy.

LOL.

I did see in the beginning of all of this COVID madness that no one knew if animals could get it. At first they were saying dogs could, then they couldn't, then they could again, then some animals at the Bronx Zoo tested positive -- then who the hell knows now.

Just ya know -- keep your animal in your house or walk them. Not sure where they'd be able to be the ones who get and transmit COVID. The only way they'd be getting an illness is from THEIR OWNER.

Cats with masks might keep the inside of their masks clean. But can you imagine what the inside of a dog's mask would look like?

Cool

@Jet Cash just when I was thinking that I would not be seeing any more weird/bad news in 2020, I read your thread and face palmed myself because this is really absurd. Also I’m not sure about you’ll but I have tried N95 masks, and the cloth masks and both made me feel claustrophobic, and I had to remove them while on road to get my breath back. Now if the same thing happens with cats how will they remove it?, therefore I hope that the government will revoke this law soon.

Does this cat feel symptom of Covid-19?
But seriously, these news means nothing. There is no proofs that cats may spread virus or that virus is dangerous for cats.
Few months ago I remember reading about dogs with Covid-19. Such news may have negative impact, because people who afraid to get infected from their pets may try to get rid of them.

This is a very unlikely situation. Pets to now have a tendency of contacting the virus but passing it on remains a probability?!
How safe can the masses be, seriously!
A lot of persons keeps pet and other domestic animals for various reasons and there is hardly any control to were these animals go or the things dey do. Maybe they might not pass it on but, does that mean they can't live it on in animate objects within the environment?!
Let's all just take guidelines seriously. At least until the pandemic is sort out. Stay safe.

What will be the next discovery to spread the FUD.

btw - I went to school in Weybridge,

How about masks on all the jungle animals in Africa and South America?

Better yet, if we mask all the Covid-19 viruses, we won't have any need for masks ourselves, right?

What we really need is to start a mask-swappers club.

Well cats breathe, and they  lick their fur, so I can see that they can ingest the virus. But as it isn't a feline virus, is it inert and just disposed of without it taking any action?

When I heard of the news of animals -not cats yet- testing positive to corona virus I was bewildered, maybe that did not get the attention they craved in would get in the covid-19 nightmare, now cats, cats are far the most kept domestic pets by statistics. Now I just don't get caught up in corona virus news, I just take my safety instructions, stay healthy and live healthy.
