1,700 young men were executed. The ISIS guys claim that they were soldiers. But pictures seems to suggest otherwise. Probably the terrorists rounded up all the young men, and then executed them.

ISIS militants claim mass executions of Iraqi soldiers, post gruesome pictures

That is what used to happen in Europe - all the men from ages 14 to 60 were shot if the enemy caught them.

The ISIS is receiving American weapons from the Saudis in Syria, and using them to kill the Christians (Assyrians / Chaldeans) and Yazidis in Kirkuk and Mosul. Great work USA!

It's fair to state that the people in the USA are not in the same state of mind they were in with Vietnam.  There, many believed we were in it wrongly.  They supported our getting out, regardless of whether South Vietnam then collapsed.  Which of course it did.

Nobody I know, left or right, has been in favor of such a departure from Afghanistan or Iraq.  Nobody I know supports the choices in use or non-use of military action by Obama.  Probably the reason is that while it seems to not make any sense, it actually makes no sense.

If it isn't obvious, Obama is more or less covertly supporting Muslim constituencies as opposed to Christian, in regions where the US has vested interests.  D'Souza argued that Obama was philosophically more of an anti-colonialist than Muslim, effectively anti-American.  I think that's true but would add "confused anti-colonialist".

Is your neighbor packing up to return to his homeland now that it has been "liberated" ?

Surely the new American puppet dictator, Sharia Law, starvation, and radiation contamination don't dissuade him.

With a million people wiped out of the population, there must be plenty of job vacancies.

4,000 U.S. soldiers died so your neighbor can return home.  Be a good neighbor and help him pack for the move to ensure those lives weren't wasted.

And yet if you were one of the oppressed people living under Saddam's thumb and you survived the war life would have become 1000x better.

Last month I hired some Iraqi refugees to do some manual labor for me.  One was an agricultural engineer with a university degree.

The idea Iraq is "1000x better" with Sharia Law, insane religious fanatics decapitating people on street corners, starvation, birth defects from American munitions, and a million people slaughtered is about as fucking stupid as it gets.

Funny, my neighbor who was born in Iraq and was there for the last 3 months would disagree with you.  I said it is better for those who were oppressed (obviously the ones who took power with the US' backing).  I didn't say it was peachy.  You can only get decapitated if you live to have a head.  If your mother was gassed by Saddam while you were in the womb (my neighbor's wife was killed when she was 8 months pregnant by a gassing) then you couldn't really be decapitated could you now.

It's better to have live some life with some freedoms than to have lived a life as an outcast/slave.

My argument was that the people there will not find life enjoyable until they can settle problems with a pen as opposed to an AK47.

This is what a chaotic state looks like.

Yes. A chaotic state created by the fanatical warmongers GW Bush Jr, and Tony Blair. They turned Iraq from a brutal dictatorship into an even worse state of blood-drenched anarchy.
There was meant to be a film happening about Tony Blair the war criminal. Wonder how that is getting on?

Oppressive peace isn't really much of a life with you're the one being oppressed.  Unfortunately the concept of peaceful protest is not available in that part of the world apparently - not as long as mustard gas is a crowd dispenser.

NSFW.  This is what a chaotic state looks like.  Almost surreal, like something you would see in Grand Theft Auto.
