Who is still buying this scam?  Looks like the scam team waited for the dust to settle and then started to pump their coin again on Bittrex.

+1

Well, sadly that's the truth...

I've noticed that NTR has made changes to the old explorer and the links provided on the OP are not valid.  Here are some updated links

Block #52597 - The last block mined at 3992 NTR with a Difficulty of only 0.0004765
http://explorer.neutrinocoin.org/block/4905ee5d0edfb4782305caca487bbf8fe10e37ba58b5790f8fbe8115260ff874

Block #52598 - The first block mined at 10.978 NTR with a Difficulty of only 0.0004765

--- EDIT ---

Seeing NTR making some new movement on bittrex.  The owners have changed the website again and I wanted to update my links.  The OP should be updated with new links too.

If you look at previous blocks, block difficulty never reached any substantial levels compared to any other scrypt based coin.  A difficulty of only 0.0004765 would be like a 1 or 2 cpu miners mining the entire 210,000,000 coins.  Very, very few people control the entire coin supply.

If you are thinking about investing in NTR, you better do some research first.  This coin is a SHADY freaking coin.  NTR suffers from an unfair launch and distribution. NTR ignored the crypto community and ninja launched the coin with only a PR. A freaking PR! Who the heck surfs PR sites? Was that PR published anywhere else than there? 1 link on 1 crappy PR site is suppose to provide the coin with a fair and honest launch?

I know this thread is a few weeks old now... But I it showed up on google while I was searching for a place to dump some NTR that I mined on multipool. NTR very well could be a shady coin, but I thought I'd post a differing perspective as to why it was a ninja launch, when it shouldn't have been.

If anything I'd say that it's launch points out some flaws in the crypto community. I saw it on the PR wire, so did other people I know.  Many people do read PR wires. Had it offered more than tor connectivity, I probably would have pointed a few rigs at it for a day or two. There's a couple things some should realize. First, the crypto world doesn't always revolve around BCT... I know many crypto people that avoid this site like the plague because half the time it's nothing but a troll fest (also visually/functionally it leaves a lot to be desired). Sometimes this place is extremely helpful, and at other times when it is troll heaven, it does nothing but give the crypto community a black eye. I can honestly see why someone wouldn't want to ANN here due to the often toxicity of this forum. Second, the fact that no crypto news sites picked up on the PR release shows that they have a long way to go as far as being news organizations. All major news outlets and journalists read PR and international news wires daily, if not more often that that. There really is no excuse for not a single crypto news outlet to have not picked up on the launch of this coin.

That doesn't say whether or not this was "truly" fair or not. It could be possible they knew the crypto news organizations were not up to snuff and weren't keeping tabs on PR's, giving them the ability to take advantage of it. But at the same time, it should be a good lesson for crypto news.... Because as crypto becomes more and more mainstream, BCT ann's will become less and less relevant as mainstream people entering the fold use more standard PR and social media launching techniques. Let's face it, for crypto to become more successful, it will have to become more mainstream. When that happens, not every person with a coin, service, product, and more is going to announce it here.

The real issue is not if this coin is or isn't a scam, it will become whatever it will become. But it's really a learning experience that there is still some growing to do with segments of the crypto community, such as news etc.. If these outlets were regularly following PR and News wires... They would have reported on it, and more people would have known about it.

$55,000 volume in the past 24hours, lots of people are taking the bait...

More like the guys who released the coin (same guys holding all the coins) are selling to themselves/each other to create volume(fake).

They're trying to lure in suckers.

I have yet to read OP's post but on subsequent posts

Marine Coin used to have a capitalization of $6 billion on Coinmarketcap and yet they only had a volume of $500.   There's too many people in this community who blindly throw money onto the next pump and a lot of these guys are going to be bagholders.  Technically any capitalization under $100 million is easily manipulated.

Heck even BTC is manipulated - there's rumour on this forum that November's boom was caused by two MtGox bots.

Very Interesting.

Who is buying this coin exactly?

I guess if the dev team hold all the supply they can keep the supply tight and jack up the price...

bingo. that is how the scam was planned out and executed. The people who are buying are the uninformed who think they are missing the train due to the run up in price.

If only they knew.

But I guess no one cares. Plenty of coins are being instamined by insiders, then have block rewards reduced or PoW cut early. Obvious scams but since most people here are under the age of 18 it seems that they don't really care as long as the get to play day trader.

They have tried to deflect and misguide investors.
http://blog.neutrinocoin.org/post/88979033989/crypto-for-everyone-about-the-neutrino-launch

They focus on the claim of "pre-mining".  Of course the coin was never pre-mined. Why would you need to pre-mine a coin when no one else would be mining it? This coin was ninja launched and mined by the devs and anyone else that just so happened to see a stupid PR.

"By announcing Neutrino via the largest media distribution outlet in the world, we intended to share Neutrino with the widest possible general audience, not just with industry insiders."

Did they target ANY industry insiders other than themselves? Show me 1, only 1 coin that has been fairly launched with just a press release.

Need proof?

The blockexplorer shows 0.0 difficulty during almost the entire mining period. HOW DO YOU HAVE 0.0 diff??
