Good and bad news I guess, Non limited cards now worth more?
As I highly doubt they will be selling the Eth limited ones cheaper.

I think that the older full hash models will bring a premium.

But lets say the real manufacturers price is 799 for a 3070

the gamer /LHR will go for 1300
the full strength will go for 1600

hard to guess

full strength 3070 are around 1600 on ebay

they may stay stable and lhr goes for 1200-1300

fast ebay check shows

If you look for a nice gpu, and want a chance to get your money back with mining i would
go for a 3080. The 3090 has got RAM on both sides and cooling the backside is the problem.

The 3080 can get up to 105 Mhs ETH and is one of the fastest cards.

I have got AMD 6800s and 6900XTs too. All have the same ETH Hashrate. 64 MHs for 110 Watt to around 150 Watt.

I like the 6900XT more. ( and i am an nvidia fan boy, sorry)

Mine are (always) watercooled so i get the best gaming performance out of both.

For the 3080 i would look for the MSI Suprim.
For the 6900XT i prefer the (watercooled) Powercolor Liquid Devil.

For the best Hash / Watt ratio look for 3060tis or 3070s.
But not that good in gaming.
The main thing when buying a video card is to read the news on the manufacturers' website
https://videocardz.com/newz/galax-launches-geforce-rtx-3080-3070-lhr-series-with-nerfed-ethereum-mining-performance
"According to GALAX, the LHR stands for ‘Lower Hash Rate’. We have previously heard that it might refer to ‘Lite Hash Rate’, but in the end, it shouldn’t really matter, because it means the same thing. What should matter is that the Ethereum mining hash rate has been confirmed to be lowered on these cards."

ahh a clueless newbie.

no insult i was clueless.

the s19pro is a loud hot fucking beast it is an industrial level machine. it must have 210-240 volts

it sucks 3300 watts an hour which is about 80 kwatts a day or at

 5. cents a kwatt. 4 dollar a day
10 cents a kwatt. 8 dollars a day
20 cents a kwatt. 16 dollars a day
30 cents a kwatt. 24 dollars a day
40:cents a kwatt. 32 dollars a day

now it earns roughly 37 a day pre power so look at the numbers above

you have no hope of profit if you have 40 cent power as you net 5 dollars and these units cost over 6000

lets look at 3090
the rig will be quiet it will burn 400 watts  or 10kwatts a day

at 5 cents.   50 cents a day
at 10 cents.   1 dollar  a day
at 20 cents  2 dollars a day
at 30 cents  3 dollars a day
at 40 cents. 4 dollars a day

it makes maybe 25 a day  so at 40 cents power you clear 21 dollars and you possibly could end up with a profit.

next look at the cost daily at worst 4 dollars or 120 a month

it is quiet and it uses  120 or 240 volts

now terminolgy of hashrate

sha 256 uses asics mines  BTC  and commonly uses th as the measurement
eth uses asic / or gpus Mines eth and commonly uses mh as the measurement

so a big btc miner does 110th the s19pro
and a big gpu miner does 115mh the nvidia 3090

you also point to nicehash this auto verts your eth hash earnings into btc.

so you have confusion. but in your case you should try sticking with gpus since you have been doing it already.

I have a 6800xt so 6900xt should be pretty much the same.

You want to make a mining profile in the driver tuning just for mining.
With 6800xt i get 64.5-64.6mh/s.
I have core set to 1219 (actually runs 1200 or 1205).
Voltage 625mV (I will explain how lower)
Fast timing on, 2150mhz speed (actually runs 2138mhz). Some people have to select 2140 i think.
Uses 137w in miner software. Undervolt made it run 5c cooler too.

To change volts i used this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N07GTV06_-Q
Original bios file from here https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=AMD&manufacturer=Sapphire&model=RX+6800+XT&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since=
Morepowertools here https://www.igorslab.de/en/red-bios-editor-and-morepowertool-adjust-and-optimize-your-vbios-and-even-more-stable-overclocking-navi-unlimited/3/

Re: 3090, if your just using it for mining then maybe 2x 3070 is better option. There are other threads here discussing this, seems most prefer 2x 3070.

RTX3090 gives a hash rate of 115-120 mh / s and a current profit of $ 30 per day. But you have no guarantee that it will be permanent.
Network hashrate increases or Ethereum network fees may decrease. There will also be a new hardfork soon, which will reduce the profit for miners.

Hi Folks

I'm mining on my gaming PC with the only GPU i could find available which is a AMD RX6900 XT but only 59ghs. (my RTX2080TI died)
I was considering getting a RTX3090 or an more expensive amntminer S19 or 17 etc.
I've found a brand new Nvidia RTX3090 for sale and on Nicehash it says approximatley $30 a day at 110mhs...not that i currently use nicehash, I use EUethminer.org pool.
The Antminer S10 pro says 110ths but only $33 a day??

So...RTX3090 110mhs
S19 pro 110ths
So Terahash is a lot more than Megahash so why the approximate same $30 return per day?
To clarify Nicehash reports almost the same daily $30 reward but the S19 pro is 10x more expensive thatn a rtx3090 and the S19 pro reports 10 x hash rate on Antminers website.

Addtional note:
Also even with overclocking/high timing is there anyway to get more than 59mhs from my AMD RX6900XT
Is there software algorithm coming soon to improve hash performance as the 6900xt is almost same hashrate of a 5700xt.
Thanks

Different algos. You can´t compare the hashrate.
The problem is, you use nicehash and they pay in btc, but you don´t mine btc with your gpu. I think starting with nicehash is a bad option, beacause you learn nothing. You only download some software and click click it will starting with mining.
Read more about the different algorithm.
