For those who could be interested, I finally succeed to run GTX1060 and RX580 together, via the config file Claymore.stub.conf:

-tt -70
-tt 30

Both parameters are usefull. It runs for more than 36 hours!

Happy new year ;-)!

It could be the miner you using. I'm not familiar with Ethos, but this shouldn't be a problem on Windows with Claymore.

Perhaps load Windows with Claymore as a secondary boot option and see if it works?

I have 2 x GTX 1070 and 2 x RX 580 on my rig and only mines with the 580's it doesnt seem to want me to mix the GPU's?
If i remove the 580's it works with just the 1070's
It recognises all 4 cards when booting up?
I was under the impression you can mix cards on Ethos?

I have tried with only 1 GTX 1060 and 1 RX 580 in place of 2 RX 580 + 1 GTX 1050.

So, it seems the power supply has enough power to support at least 3 GPU ...

It mines correctly, until GPU temperature reach 61°C ... what is strange is that "-t 50" does not help in this configuration.
It works fine if GTX 1060 is alone ...

If someone understands this behavior ;-)

Regards,

Maxime

Did you place a temperature limit on your MSI afterburner?
Make -t 80 and see if temps still go that high.
What PSU do you have?

That doesn't sound right? You sure your PSU could handle the loads to both GPUs? I had 580s and 1060 running fine together in the past. R9 280X with 1060s also.

Thanks!

I already tried ... my conclusions are that RX580 + GTX1060 does not work ... it's fine with GTX1050, but not 1060.
I have configured a second miner so for NVIDIA ...

Hi,

thanks for proposals.
I did used this config: https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1060-amp-edition#spec
I started with the smallest frequency without any success.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of tools to check the GPU fan speed under ETHOS.

Does Claymore should be able to work with this config from a technical point of view?

Best regards,

Maxime

yes you can use claymore miner to set fan speeds for your gpus
just add this syntax -ti -50
for 50 percent fan speed
and you can also use it for underclock and overclock too

i hope you are not overclocking much
did you check the memory vendor of your gtx 1060?
is it hynix or micron or samsung or elphida?
because how much a card can overclock will depend on it

I've never experienced this before. Best way would be to manually set your GPU fan speed on afterburner (or whatever overclocking tool you use). Keep it at a % that keep your temps where you want them (50-65 C). That way you can ensure you card doesn't overheat and give you those errors. If that doesn't work you could ask on their Discord channel.

Hi,

I spent a long time to succeed mining with a mix of NVIDIA + AMD card (GTX 1060 + RX 580).

Everything goes fine until GTX 1060 reach 61°C ... then fan speed is about 11%, and after 1 or 2 minutes, GPU crash!
I get this error message: "nvml cannot get current temperature error 15".

Reboot, and back again to crash after a while.

I tried to adjust parameters in local.conf to reduce memClock or coreClock ... unsuccessfull.
I tried different solution in claymore.stub.conf ... same results.

Does someone did experiment same config, issue? (ethos, NVIDIA + AMD using Claymore).
Do I have to use another miner algo?

Many thanks!

Maxime
