Wow, thank you guys for the insight.  I was not aware of those benefits.  I am running 18x 1080 Ti, so pulling in quite a bit and 3% felt like a lot.  I feel much better about my situation.

you could just use the ever classic CUDA ccminer, upkept by Tpruvot, and forked into many awesme versions by many others
His version is great and has NO dev fee at all, never has.
Its not so good on equihash tho, but rocks 25 other algos like a boss

Thank you.  I was using ccminer mining VTC for a while, but once I heard about the Bitcoin Private fork, I switched to mining Zclassic (equihash), so I needed another miner.

I've found mining pools with 0% fee requirements, but does anyone know of an Nvidia miner with 0% fees?  The one I'm using, I believe it's called EWBF, has a 2% fee, which is outrageous.  Thanks in advance.

I used to think as you do. The fees - as long as they aren't outrageous - are worth it if it nets you a better outcome. The old adage "you get what you pay for" is appropriate here:

  • 0% pools are either young and looking to grow or poorly run/scammy (in most cases). You'll get a better experience out of a fee-based pool, in my very limited experience.
  • fee-based miners generally pack a punch/above their weight compared to non-fee miners. I'm sure there are exceptions, but there it is.

What pools are are you referring to? Some pools may have 0% fee but nobody mining on them. Meaning less block rewards for the pool and less rewards for you as well. With regards to the miner software, EWBF can be set to mine at 0% fee. All you need to do is add --fee 0. However, there is again a tradeoff, you will be mining at reduced speeds.

Given this, my suggestion is to look for profitable pools and miners. For example DSTM's miner has a 2% fee but using it gives me an additional 50-100 sols (depends on your mining rig), which in the end makes it more profitable to use than any 0% mining software out there.
