Well, this is great information to know! I thought that someone just had a ATI fetish so it is good to know that there are actual substantial hardware differences that would make a difference. Any good GPU software that you might recommend?

AMD (formerly ATI) cards are much better, mining-wise, take a look at this page: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Hello,

I am pretty new to this Bitcoin stuff and I had a few questions. I noticed that the preferred vendor for GPU mining is ATI cards. I have personally always been an NVIDIA kind of guy. I currently have a GTX 460 in my current computer. Is this going to work well to mine with or is ATI really that much better. Also, what mining software seems to be the best for GPU mining? I have seen a few different flavors of software and I'm not sure if they are optimized to run with just ATI cards or what ever the case may be. In short, I'm a newb. Smiley
