Yes. "Created" or "Released" - both words are good. Nxt have true "genesis" block

Man, there is NO WALLET in usual terms (like in Bitcoin). There is no difference on what server you unlock your account.

And, yes, you can use your own server - and I highly recommend you to use only your one - if you make it visible outside. But the way you can do it depends on you environment: OS, connection type, firewalls and so on.

It was a question I was asked two times today (by only telling 3 people about NXT) so I wanted to make sure

There seems to be a lot of misconception about pure proof-of-stake. In my view POW is brain-dead while POS is genius.
