ITT Luke-Jr is upset because his client doesn't get that much attention.

Currently the reference client is the best client. Alternative clients are like alternative bittorrent clients vs the original. On the bitcoin forums, they should have a section for their own, labeled "Alternative Clients" or something of that nature.

They are clients. They are alternate to the reference implementation. Getting nit-picky about the nomenclature is just bad form.

Additionally, I don't think there has ever been any indication that anyone wants there to be only one client.

As for splitting other subforums, I agree. Too much clutter everywhere. Currency exchange is one that we definitely need.

there should be a subforum labeled pools where all the pool threads should be moved to.

there should be a subforum labeled pools where all the pool threads should be moved to. i dont think agree that they should each have there own subforum. possible the same thing for miners too.

This subforum further propagates the "one true client" myth/control-method. If the Development forum is too cluttered (which I'd agree it is), it should be split among the different projects equally, not by giving preference to one over all the others. The current split also doesn't help the clutter at all, as the new subforum has a tiny minority of all the threads. I also think it would be a good idea to add subforums for all the mining pools (which don't have their own). Currently, most "alternative" clients and pools have a single very-long thread, due to the cluttering of the forums. Giving them each a subforum I expect would yield a proper thread per topic/issue.
