Jesus, are people still buying/selling merits anywhere, not just on bitcointalk but on other platforms? Seems like it's been a long time since I've heard about crap like this. I'm actually curious as to what a single merit is going for on the black market, assuming such a market still exists.

, kidding aside though, it should be no surprise that it's still a lucrative thing to do because there's people that see the forum as a potential place for you to earn bitcoins just by being active on the forum and discussions and for that reason, there's people that want to take a shortcut and not spend anytime improving the quality of their posts and that demand is actually being fulfilled by some shady people in the forum that has the ability to provide that demand, it's a never ending battle that will only be ended if people starts getting principles. It doesn't even matter if this is a scam or not, it's a lose-lose situation to whoever buys from this dude because people will find out.
