Sadly, the Octacoin Team - if it ever were - is no more. I'd like to extend a huge thanks to TheMightyX for his/her criticism. We were mostly just having fun, but our beliefs remain. We aren't willing as a group to take on the task of building a huntercoin-like game/coin. (I did most of the coding for Octacoin and it was really more of a boredom alleviation than a project.)
Personally, I'd love to be behind something like what TheMightyX described. If you're working on something like that, please send me a private message. The mere thought of knowing that it's in development would bring me joy.
So your only relation to the 8-bit era is that the coin is set to be mined for... 16 years...
