EDIT: Maybe 2.5 BTC?

Certainly! First thing to do is take out of box and plug in the cables. Simple plug and play into graphics card with USB cable to pc and wall adapter. You have to go to display settings and change it so the screen on the rift is either the main display or a duplicate of the desktop. Once you have downloaded the SDK software from oculus dev website along with the demo of Tuscany and Unity engine you can simply run it and you will have to go from there. Trying the demo of Tuscany is the first step i took to become familiar with some of the settings.

Or you can just download any of the compatible games for it and have a search on google for any additions you may have to make to convert the game to use the oculus rift. Basicaly it splits the screen to give each of your eyes a screen to view. It has a very low latency so your head movements are tracked almost seamlessly. It comes with 3 types of lenses to adapt to your eyes and if you were glasses it is possible to wear them In the headset. I have had no need to try this though because I don't wear glasses. There will only be a few settings you have to change so not very complicated.

You can hook your game pad up or joystick etc as normal and it comes with 3ft or 6ft gpu cable so you can move about more freely. It is THE best VR ive ever used as said before. Search for VR sites and you will find a whole load of information on how to enhance the immersion. Things like a treadmill where you can walk and run in any direction and stay in the same spot. Force feedback controllers for combat games. Body suits which let you know when you've been hit. So many more out there. The unity program allows you to create your own world but is a trial that was bundled in when i bought it and lasts only a few months.

I could go on for a while! Is there anything else you want to know?

I hope I've covered what you wanted. If still questions I am happy to answer.

Cheers

Hello all you virtual reality enthusiasts!

I have an Oculus rift virtual reality dev kit for sale, which I preordered 9 months ago just after the kickstarter. Delivery if you ordered now may take a while to ship to you so if you miss it now it will be gone for a while.

This is basically the developers kit with all the essentials to get you going and a bit of know how on your comp you will be viewing amazing things! Create an account on the developers site to download the sdk and demos. Team fortress 2 also works as will many other games like hawken and skyrim(i think). It also comes with a code for some games to download as well. I am gutted I have to sell it but I am hoping that one of you lovely cryptocurrenteurs will exchange it for bitcoin for me. This afaik is the only one for sale for btc at the moment and only 25000 have been produced in the world.

Overall it is the best experience I have ever had playing any game ever! and my goal was.. to intergrate the different softwares and hardwares developers had open sourced and build the mammoth of all gaming immersion environments. A dream that will have to be played out by others as i just dont have any time with my job, family and crypto commitments.

So if there is anyone interested in this please bid below or send me an offer. I am in the uk but will deliver to anywhere in the world.

Please check out the oculus rift if you haven't heard of it as well.

Any questions welcome.

Cheers

Jonny
