Ok, than i dont know - it
just can be fine adjusted by trying diefferen parameters,
and then try different Clock speeds i tryied it the same in 15Mhz step up which is not to big and not to smal.
Later you can superfineadjust in 3Mhz Steps.

These two things, there are no more things you can do.

For the Noise, of the 78% Fan
i made a trick,
i reduced Fanspeed of the Card to 60-70% and added a 120MM Silent Fan which sucks (not blow)
the hot Air away from the Card. So the overalnoise is less because ea 120mm Fan is more effective than
the built in Fan.

Ok, I'm having an odd issue. I'm currently running a Radeon 6950 and using GuiMiner. I'm not the best at OCing, but I copied what someone else did with their card. Using Afterburner, I'm able to get my core clock to 950 without messing with voltages. Odd things is, when I run GuiMiner I get less MHash/s, around 295. When it is not OCed and at the default core clock of 810, I get around 325 MHash/s. After messing around with it some more, I found that setting the core clock at exactly 893 produced the best results at 350 MHash/s. I don't think that this is normal. Would someone please advise. Thank you.

Note: OS is Windows 7 SP1.

I don't think its odd. I experience the same situation but in my case its 2x 6970...The best settings I can achieve is clock at 900 (default 880) with memory set to 1000. This gives me approximately 372Mhash/s. If I increase the clock above 900 it decreases my hashes down to ~288Mhash/s (repeatable). So don't feel too bad about 350 Mhash/s. I have 2x 6990 on back order from amazon and I'm concerned about its overclocking potential after my experience with the 6970s. We shall see.

Default core clock is 810. I can get that up to 950 through OCing, without even messing with the voltages. Could probably get it higher though. I've read about people getting it to 1050. Temperature is at 74'C under load, with fan speed at 78%. All the latest graphics card drivers are installed along with OpenCL and SDK 2.4. With MSI Afterburner I have it set so that OC settings are applied at system start-up as well, so that is not an issue.

What is your coreclock?

Waht is the temperature and fan speed in Percent?

I could give tipps for GUIminer because it doesnt work for me.
But do you installed the Standart Pakage?
-newest graphic driver,
-ATI SDK 2.4
-OpenCL

Notice when you overclock and restat windows sometools resett to factory default.

Well, tried out Phoenix Miner and I have the same issue. Also, it seems to do about the same as GuiMiner when it comes to Mhash/s. Fiddled around with the settings for quite a while and eventually got it to the best I could, which ended up to be very close to what GuiMiner was doing. Thanks for the tips. I just feel that I could do better with this card. I've seen people doing 400, but I'm only able to do 350 MHash/s.

My tipp is,
it is not recommed to overclock to the Max, often 9-10% shows the best result in Mhash and temperature ratio.

Also try another miner if you could get better results.
try phoenix. it is commandline but there is an easy nebie guide.
my best parameters are (exmple):

phoenix -u http://USER.worker:[email protected]:8332 DEVICE=0 AGGRESSION=10 VECTORS BFI_INT WORKSIZE=128 -k phatk
