I'm Deon, Chess Player. Chess is more than a game to me, like GM Kasparov once said "Chess is life". I have been playing chess since I was a kid. My rating is 2200+ Lichess Rapid and 2100+ Lichess Blitz.

During the course of our online chess lessons, you will have access to chess strategy books by Grandmasters, my favorite is GM Karpov and his protoge, Kasparov. I play a variety of openings- I enjoy playing wild openings and gambits for blitz games We will be studying openings,middlegame and endgame. I'm an offensive player, always on the attack and maintain tempo. This is based on your temperament whichever works for you. You can be a passive player, one for counter attack, defensive or all attack. Each student will have a set curriculum , instead of just showing you the opening move we are going to study games of grandmasters playing the opening and analyse every move, the motive and idea behind each move. You can send your own games with other players on LilChess so we can tackle the blunders along the way.
