I've been doing web dev for over 8 years now and only since starting work at an agency have I signed up to github (about 5 months ago).
When you working on a project with multiple people then some sort of git of svn repo is almost c must. Hard to work without.
The fun starts when you get conflicts Tongue

Git of a svn is for sure a bad practice in the industry. Also I use it to backup all my code.

I had heard of Github earlier, but wasn't sure what it was. I'm paranoid about signing up for things I haven't researched myself. I'll look into it.

EDIT: Seems my name is taken, so I'll have to sign up under a different name.

You don't have a github or bitbucket, kinda fishy

I use Koding now due to it being free if that's what you are referring to. I used to use NearlyFreeSpeech but lost everything when the bank thought the charge was unauthorized. Is there something I can do to prove I'm being genuine?

Sorry I missed something, you're doing this for free?[/b]

Yes. I only want to be able to prove I have experience in the event I get a paid job in the future.

True that, but I didn't have one till a few months ago.

No clients work online?

Edit: Sorry I missed something, you're doing this for free?

Any examples of work?
How experienced are you with each language?

I lost all of my work to a recent hard drive failure (the backup) which coincided with the bank's refusal to pay my host. The site was shut down and, because I had no backup, it will be a while before that changes. The reason I am doing this for free is to build up a portfolio.

I'm currently going to College for Computer Science. I have taken courses in all of the previous languages mentioned except PHP, which I admittedly taught myself.

HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, and PHP.

I'll update the OP with that.

Also I edited it to make the service free. No point in charging if I can't prove I did it before.

Sorry if this is a double post. I checked and it wasn't up. Must've been an error. If it is a duplicate, I'll try to remove one.

Anyway, I'm willing to offer this service to whomever needs it. I'm taking the "Name Your Price" route, so you get to choose. Payments are milestone-based and agreed upon beforehand. I will go first for each milestone. I have decided instead to do this service for free. I lost most of my work to a hard drive failure and need to build it up again, so it would be weird to ask for money for that.

I am proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Jquery, and PHP
