What's the status of users requesting balance refunds on coins that weren't taken?

I can't register.

Yep. But someone sold to the order I was hoping to fill on PTC. On the bright side, PTC just jumped 30% on Bittrex, so I'm glad it worked out like it did.

Is there a problem with the orders on Allcrypt right now? I'm trying to execute a Sell and nothing is happening. The blue Sell button turns grey as I submit the order with amount and price filled in, but there is no confirmation pop-up or anything else, even after an hour of waiting. I've tried several times. Is this a known issue?

That's a good point. Allcrypt is the one exchange I use, that I have to copy my password out of my password directory and paste when I'm logging in; the rest I have autofilling in Firefox on my home system.

Are you guys thinking about a new interface? The current one is kind of clumsy in my opinion. And the login doesn't support credentials autofill by default (Chrome). Hope you guys have something in the pipeline to make the site more clear and interactive.

So, let me get this straight.

You'd like us to just reset the most secure protection you have for your coins, quickly, without actually going through a rigorous process to ensure you're who you say you are, in an attempt to protect your account from hacking and theft?

That tells me you're not actually the user in question, because anyone with half a sense of security would WANT us to be completely and utterly exhaustive in MAKING SURE it's you.

If "bittrex did it quick" then shame on them for COMPLETELY IGNORING your account security.

I have no proof whatsoever you are who you say you are, and you calling us out in public for not quickly just removing it because you deleted your 2FA codes just screams to me you're attempting to hack someone's account.

If you "want your coins" you're going to need to provide indisputable proof you're the account owner.

it was 2.5days ago i sent your support an email, telling you i accidentally erased my google authenticator and couldnt enter to my account .I also lost my authorization to bittrex they reset my 2fa very quickly.But do you know what did  your support team suggest me?
The process will take their too much time (1 minute job) to reset 2fa and told me to open a new account which is a very big LOL.

Hi, I would like to request WKC WankCoin to be added.  WankCoin is a gold mine. It's a coin that already has a use.  And Is being used for ecommerce right now.  They even have a commercial on youtube. Currently only a month old. and already being used for e-commerce can't really say that about many other coins that are offered.

Use the cmcmarketdata call. Same info, minus the order book which you likely don't need. Once per minute limitation.

In addition, fetching every 30 seconds of any public API is beyond overkill. The majority of coins don't move that fast, and if a user is THAT interested in updates that frequent, they are actuay on the exchange ready to trade. You're beating the hell out of other sites Apis for info way more often than your users are likely using.

actually there's something we wanted to ask...is it possible to issue us some kind of a key for more frequent requests?
We are fetching your API once in 15 min. due to requests' limitation, and all other exchanges every 30 seconds

My quick suggestions:

- total portfolio value, in BTC by default, but with option to change to different currency. If possible a small indicator of daily change would be nice (ie green arrow up + "5%" next to it would indicate that total portfolio increased by 5% compared to 24 hours ago)

- GIVEAWAYS tab!!! Like the one on Poloniex. A certain amount available per 1 account and one ip. Great for devs to promote the coin (they would donate), great for users - they get free coins, great for exchange - drives up trade volume and attracts new users.

- [not sure has it been mentioned yet] Automatic orders. Example: I place an order to buy 10k DOGE at 100 satoshi, and when the order is complete (fully or partially?) automatic order to sell for 104 satoshi is placed. With the 'repeat' option, so it can go on and on.

- new web design? Some brighter background maybe, and logo more visible? Also the site doesn't work great with Opera browser, need to refresh every time after placing or canceling orders.

Hrm. Thats a very interesting idea. The part we very likely could not do (maybe?) is the auto-restoring of orders. Maybe. Hrm. We could set a dormant flag on an order... and have it become un-dormant when it could be funded.

Actually the more I think about it, the more do-able this really is. We are currently working on a new trading system. Part of that system requires you to place coins in escrow (a special holding account where you cannot touch them, they are held in reserve, as collateral, for some of the new features).

There's not much reason we could NOT make a new order type "Multi Order" or "Split Order" or something like that where you place BTC in escrow, and that funds whatever Split/Multi/suggest a better name orders on a first come first serve basis. All split orders would be held, or ignored by the system, until more escrow was added to cover them. At which point they'd reactivate.

Given your 'I'd prefer to have it cancel' there could be an extra option on them allowing them to resurrect, or die. Ooh. Zombie orders. When your escrow empties, the order becomes a zombie order, and it can either resurrect or die. Maybe not the most professional terms but I personally do love the zombies.

Your timing for asking for that feature couldn't be better. I'm working on the escrow/new system as we speak. Adding a new order type would be cake.

Open to suggestions for a name for this type of order, as, I'm pretty sure it's not duplicated anywhere (stocks/securities/other exchanges).

Do me a favor? Paste that entire idea into a support ticket on the site? Easier for me to manage them as support tickets.

OK, I'll throw out a long shot, but here's a feature that could blow people away if it could be SAFELY (for your and for your customers) implemented:

The ability to make multiple Buy offers utilizing the same reserves of BTC/LTC/DOGE.

For example, say I have 1 BTC and am interested in ABC coin, but I also am hoping to pick up some XYZ coin. So I place an order for 100 ABC coins at .01 BTC each, but then also place an order for 500 XYZ coins at .001 each. This totals 1.5 BTC in buy offers between the two coins.

So let's say someone sells me 70 ABC coins. My order on the ABC exchange now is down to the remaining 30 at .01; but on the XYZ exchange it also adjusts my buy offer down to 300 XYZ coins since I only have .3 BTC left. Someone then sells me 200 XYZ coins, and both orders update again - to 10 ABC coins at .01 and 100 XYZ coins at .001.

Just to make it more complicated/fun - let's say I then sell 1 BTC of DEF Coin. The system then looks at my original ABC and XYZ orders and knows that I never did get 30 of my ABC coins or 300 of my XYZ coinbuy offers. So it restores my buy offer from 10 coins to 30 for ABC and from 100 to 300 for XYZ. Since there is now enough BTC to complete both orders, things now proceed normally.

(One additional point - Let's say that my ABC order was completed with the original funds without completing the XYZ order. In this case my preference would be to cancel the XYZ order, rather than have it automatically resurrected when I added new funds. At the very least we should be able to view such "latent orders" that are awaiting BTC/LTC/DOGE funding so we can kill them if the market has shifted, before adding new funds.)

There are many times I wish I could have placed more buy orders, but was limited by how I could spread my BTC around. So I wind up placing orders in dead coins and miss out on chances to buy more active ones. A feature like this would enable us to make offers across many coins simultaneously, which I think would make a huge impact for you since it would create the appearance/reality of much greater buy support across all your coins. (At first this might be lowball offers, but competition would quickly drive the offers up.)

Competition. We have the chicken and the egg problem. No one wants to trade with us because we have no volume. We have no volume because no one trades with us.

So we are constantly doing new things to change the landscape. We have a big thing coming in a week or so (if I can ever stop putting out fires long enough to finish the code) that we are hoping makes the site blow up. We also have two other things on the back burners that are starting to simmer that might bring some much needed attention and traffic to the site.

We've only been open just over 2 months now. It takes time to dislodge the bigger guys. No one will ever beat WalMart - but the smaller stores that have better options and service will cater to those who demand more.

Give it time. We're getting there.

And like we've said 100x before - PLEASE - give us your suggestions. AllCrypt was born from the dislike of what the other exchanges offered. There have got to be things you dislike about the exchanges you trade on now. What are they? We want to fix those issues and be YOUR cryptocurrency exchange of choice.

Bump for Allcrypt - it certainly deserves better, it's easier to navigate and use than the larger exchanges I use. Not to mention the nice deals I scoop up there.

Short sales and margin trading sound too good to be true. I am using 6 exchanges, but find myself on Allcrypt more than any of the others. I hope all your hard work pays off for you.

Hey, I do really like that ability to select exchanges that appear in the Markets drop-down. That will be handy and I've already configured it. Now we just need to get you more volume so I can get more trades running!

Right now we DO have the option to selectively hide pairings or certain coins - and they are hidden globally, but it's not a dynamic balance based system. Which is a great idea. (Check out the Market Preferences tab, on the drop down under Markets. Also, if you click the 'favorite market' checkbox on a market page, or in the preferences tab, it's added to the dropdown.)

I had the thought to have an option to hide low volume/zero traffic coins, but I dont want to hide a coin you MIGHT want to see - out of sight out of mind. "No, AllCrypt doesnt have CORG - not on the list" - when it actually is, you just hid it.

But yeah, hiding all the coins you have a zero balance in makes perfect sense. Adding in coins you have buy orders in too is pretty cool.

We've had some hardware hiccups the last few days, and getting ready for the Crypto Convention has kept us busy. But those are both stellar ideas and I'll get them in ASAP.

I have another Feature Request

On a couple other sites they have a button or drop-down option to list only coins you have a balance in. Could you do the same for your Balances tab? It really is nice to just see the few coins you have a balance in rather than having to wade through a hundred others.

And if you want to get a leg up on the competition - add a 2nd option that lists the coins you have a balance in, PLUS the coins you have Buy orders on. That will make it easier to find and drill down to check on each market I've an interest in.

I do like your layout. Some of the other sites, even the major ones, have miserable layouts that are a pain to navigate in, to the point it's hard to keep track of what coins you even have in their exchange.

OK, I have a Feature Request (and no other exchange I've seen has this, so far as I've seen):

I'd love to be able to see at a glance whether my buy and sell bids are at the top of their respective charts, or if others have placed bids ahead of them. Right now, on every exchange I use, you need to drill down into the specific trading page for each coin to get this info. I'd love for it to be available in some form on the Open Orders section of the History tab.

There are a couple ways this could be implemented:
1. List how high on the buy/sell list you are by position, without any information on the quantity of coins being bought/sold. For example, if the DOGE/BTC market listed:

.00000109       5453.42
.00000108       19300   <--Me

Then on the Open Orders it would list this order as being in Position #3.

2. Alternately, it could list the quantity of coins ahead of my position in the buy/sell queue. In the example above, the Open Orders chart would report my position as 95,453.42, meaning there are that many coins that would need to sell ahead of mine starting to sell.

Ideally you could shoehorn both in - that way we could tell easily if we've dropped from #1 to #7 in the queue due to sizable orders or those silly "selling 1.3218283 altcoins" orders.

Why are you using an exchange as a wallet? We're not a coin storage system. Using an exchange as a coin storage system or a wallet is a horrifically bad idea. We will NEVER make a change that ENCOURAGES people to store their coins with us long term and use us as a wallet. Use a wallet service if you want a wallet. You use an exchange if you want to trade coins. Paying services from your exchange wallet is... it blows my mind.

And I cannot comment on how or what Bittrex does. Thirty minutes for first confirmation is, in my opinion, 22 minutes too long, given BTC's tendency to run on 8 minute blocktimes before a difficulty change. If you're trading in a fast market and trying to take advantage of arbitrage between different exchanges, 30 minutes may as well be four hours. We are built for speed and efficiency in trading coins.

Then how does Bittrex have zero issues with confirmations (most it took for first confirmation was half an hour) with only 0.0001 fee?
Regardless of cents or whatnot, I do 0.002-0.003BTC withdrawals for renting on betarigs.com, so a 0.001 fee would be a BIG chunk of that.

On that note - if you're currently unhappy with an aspect of another exchange: Tell us. Don't name names. No need. Tell us what you don't like about it. We'll do our best to fix it, or add it, or change it, so that you want to trade on AllCrypt.com and say "Well thank god they don't do XXXX like YYYY does!"

No one thought of the coin voting yet either - and once we brought it to market, EVERYONE has copied it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all. I'm sure this will be copied as well. We're trying to innovate and fix the "brokenness" of current exchanges. We're currently excelling in many areas that other exchanges fail. Our deposits are lightning fast. We're adding coins at a pace no other exchange matches. We have more security settings than any other exchange - and to not annoy people less concerned with security - all are optional and can be configured by the user. We were the first to have voting, and now that that is dying (voting competition has watered down the usefulness) we're the first to be listing some new coins on the day they launch.

We're proud to be the first to not only have user configurable cold storage, but to actually show our numbers. Sure, you assume other exchanges have your coins in some secure storage, right? Its only smart and common sense - but how many actually tell you they do (or do at ALL? CoinEx recently "lost all their coins as the wallet server was hacked"), and how much, or what percentage are safe, offline? None. Once we perform security audits on the new system, we're considering posting a guarantee that any coins we hold that you send to cold storage cannot be lost. No other exchange will make that assertion.

We want users to be in control of their coins - not us.

The only area we are currently failing in - and failing bigtime - is volume. We're not the 'big boys'. Not yet. We've been open 30 days so far. But no one booms right out of the gate. We're hoping these features we add, the security, the transparency and integrity we show, early adopting and having faith in brand new coins brings us the trust and attention of the users who are sick and tired of dealing with the hassle of the exchange they are on now.

Earlier today I personally had a pile of a coin on AllCrypt.com that had no market at all... no one buying. So I transferred it out to a larger exchange so I could unload this coin I was no longer interested in. AllCrypt showed 26 confirmations on the withdrawal. The other exchange didn't even show a hint that they had received notice that I was making a depost. That is unacceptable. And we aim to be the alternative to all that is unacceptable in other exchanges.

A good deal of the withdrawals we process have a .0005 network fee by default, and we add a .00015 TX fee on top to ensure the funds move. We had a ton of .0001 withdrawals sit for an hour or more with 0 confirmations because the miners wouldnt pick up the minimum fee transactions.

We've also had some withdrawals be complicated enough that the fee was even higher.

So assuming the withdrawals with the .0005 fee, and we add the .00015 for a total of .00065, we're keeping .00035 of that to cover costs. Right now thats 16 cents.

If a 16 cent fee to cover our costs is too rich for your blood... I really have no defense to that. I'll just have to apologize and hope you believe us when we say no one is retiring to a tropical island on a 16 cents per withdrawal 'profit'.

Here's how it will basically work:
Certain coins will be 'cold storage enabled' - to launch with just BTC, and if we have time, a few others. As we learned in the hack, we were storing a huge value of BTCS, more than triple the value of the BTC we held.

On your account page you list how much of your coins you want to keep in a hot wallet. We were considering making it a percentage, but then it's always changing... if you state keep 2 BTC in a hot wallet and the rest in cold storage, you'll always have 2 BTC ready to withdraw.

Once you save the settings, a short time later accounts will be swept and anything above that threshold will move into a cold storage wallet. ALL of your funds, hot and cold, will be available to trade. Funds trade from cold storage first - otherwise managing that 2 BTC you have in a hot wallet will be a nightmare. It will constantly be either moving more to cold storage, or refilling from cold storage. If you tell the site you want to have 2 BTC in a hot wallet ready to move at any time, it abides by that.

If you deposit funds, and your hot wallet is already full, they immediately move to cold storage.

When you make a withdrawal, you are limited to your hot wallet funds.  Once they are depleted, you cannot withdraw more.

Every 24 hours or so, the system does an audit check and refills any hot wallets with funds from cold storage. This is NOT automated. The calculations are, the refill is checked and Ok'd by a human being. The reason we do this is if we did not, everyone's hot wallets would quickly deplete. If you don't want an auto-refill, just set your hot wallet limit to 0 coins. No reason to have a hot wallet if you're not going to use it. Think of it, in other terms, as a daily withdrawal limit, with the added security that the coins are not digitally in that wallet to withdraw, even if your account was compromised.

To withdraw more than your hot wallet has, there will be a request button you can use. You MUST enable 2FA to be able to use this button. Almost all of our security is optional. We enforce 2FA for cold storage withdrawals. Once you make the request, a human being gets the request and will manually approve the fund transfer. The time for this can be as soon as 15 minutes if someone's watching, or as long as 12 hours if you submit the request before we all go to bed for the night. By utilizing the cold storage feature, you acknowledge that withdrawing those funds will be slow.

The cold storage system is on a different network, in a different physical location. There is never a connection made between the AllCrypt.com system database or process daemons to or from the cold storage system. If the AllCrypt.com network is hacked and compromised, the cold storage is safe as it is completely isolated and inaccessible.

Well, that was longer than I intended. We welcome any thoughts, comments, feedback or suggestions.

We also updated the trade engine speeding it up by about 20x, as well as lowering the delays between trades by about 5x.

Coming this week/hopefully within a few days, user configurable hot/cold wallets. You state how much you want to have hot-and-ready (pizza pizza! Please tell me someone else gets that...) for immediate withdrawal, the rest is in cold storage.

If all your coins are in cold storage, unless the private keys are physically stolen (physically, like a burglar breaks into where we have them stored, and takes them), it will be nearly impossible to steal your coins. We are testing the system now and hope to have it online within a few days.

My fault, I'm sorry. I just remember trying to withdraw a small amount and realized it was going to eat a big chunk of it. I thought the general transaction fee on BTC was quite a bit lower.

I have an account and appreciate your service. But one question: Why is the fee to withdraw Bitcoin set at 0.01 BTC? That's $5 at the moment, which is way too high.

We had a few requests for a bitcointalk official thread, so this is here to start it.
