Since this is just new to Paypal, I hope they will get some good results with their new implementations then they can implement this new feature in the other countries as well. I think Paypal has seen the great impact of this new innovative payment system which might overtake their companies. Just like Visa, Paypal knows they need to adopt crypto payments so that they can preserve their companies.

Market reaction is over if you ask me. I can recall this news was published before 2 or 3 days. So the market is already related then and the current market is playing normally. However, it was expected since PayPal decide to allow to buying Bitcoin and hold. So it was a matter of time when they will allow selling as well. Of course, this is a good sign and most probably it's just an experiment that would encourage acceptance in more countries.

The announcement that PayPal is to allow UK clients to buy, sell, and hodl Bitcoin and a few altcoins was actually made months ago. The price reaction to this possibility could have been over. But that's only as far as speculators are concerned. This was big news, there must have been actions done by these people. But the actual buying of Bitcoin through PayPal by UK citizens has not began until just very recently, September 17th to be exact. So we have yet to fully know how high the UK demand of these cryptocurrencies are.

I think it's a good idea, a good move by PayPal..
And I also think the market will react positively to this.
If that only happens in the UK, that is not enough to marker to rise as the price has not moved anywhere since last week. Maybe it needs more time for the price to increase, but the market needs more than just that news. And if nothing good news release this week, maybe we will see another correction, so prepare yourself for that and do not panic. But if the price can increase this week, that will be a good sign for us to see that the price may be back to $49k-$50k.

It's totally mind boggling how BCH and LTC are still being included(and actually prioritized like in this case) with crypto exchange listings in 2021. Being technically useless aside, I'd at least prefer DOGE compared to both of these lol simply because of DOGE's meme culture relevance.

BCH and LTC are now replaced by the top projects which are more innovative and not just forks. Doge is only good if it's pumping. But the market will likely react positively if they just added BTC and allow its investors to withdraw going to a wallet.

The BTC in PayPal account is just integers added to our account, the transaction upon buying BTC on Paypal will not even be found on the blockchain. There will be no effect on the market unless there will be an orderbook there just like the exchange.

After sometime, now Paypal officially Tweets about their openness to crypto.

All eligible Paypal customers in the UK can now buy, hold and sell Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum,  Bitcoin Cash & Litecoin from their PayPal account!

How will the market react, will this be enough to send BTC into 48K+ or not? What do you think?

The market is already above $48,000, and I don’t expect much from this. Although it is good that they have decided to raise the limitations that they applied before, it’s now going to be better because people will be able to receive and also send out crypto currency from their wallets, than before when you had to convert it in your PayPal wallet. One more thing that is remaining now is for them to extend this service to other parts of the world.Although I do understand that they are still in the testing period for this, and once things get better they will be able to extend it to others. So far they might just continue with those in the UK.

Not exactly.
It's 48k+ which is something that is hard to achieve by just opening all this only in the UK. I do think that the market would for sure show a positive note but it would take time and at the same time the effects might not be that pronounced.

Overall it's a really good news that PayPal which is soon going to increase its fee for the customers as well, is uses by at least 49% of the shoppers. Therefore it would be a really good news for the people who would be interested in that percentage of users as well.

Yeap, it's pretty much priced in because it's already expected. If this was to have a positive price impact, it will take time because we really don't expect a mass flooding of people into cryptocurrencies just because PayPal added them.
Yh, as with most things now a days it seems to have been factored in already. I know there were talks about it several months ago, but this is the real thing.

Yes, it could be that the flood of people might be yet to follow until this news is fully solidified and practiced, but still can't complain - this is positive news and hopefully it will lead to something even bigger  Cheesy

If anything, it's just an easy avenue for people to easily buy crypto if they decided that cryptocurrencies are a good buy. Because chances are, the existing crypto holders already have accounts on other various exchanges in the first place.
