Stop using branwallets
I wouldn't trust windows for anything secure.  You should just install linux to a usb key and use that to boot from instead.  (Unless you can dedicate a whole computer to it, then just install linux on that)

The windows bundle is stand alone by nature. Offline bundles are for Debian/Ubuntu only. With windows installed, you only need the Armory Windows installer to run offline Armory off of it.

Thanks.

What version of Windows did you install?

You can't install the Ubuntu install bundles for offline use onto a Windows PC.

I've watched some online tutorials on setting up an offline wallet on a dedicated PC that will never touch the internet after Armory is installed. The tutorials recommend downloading the Ubuntu bundle from the Armory site. Here:

Linux – Offline Bundles for Ubuntu 10.04 & 12.04
https://bitcoinarmory.com/download/

When I attempted to do this on the older laptop which I have decided to use for the offline wallet, windows could not install the the bundle and recommended that I install unzip and another program.

My question: if I factory reinstall Windows on my Laptop, download Armory, and then forever disconnect my Laptop for the offline wallet from the internet, is there any need for installing Ubuntu?

I have in fact just factory reinstalled Windows on my Laptop and am hesitant to download a lot of programs to make Ubuntu work if that is unnecessary.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
