True, but electrum doesn't work for anything but Bitcoin.

I mean, it depends on what sort of offline wallet you are thinking about. You could always just generate a valid address for these coins, save the private key somewhere and send coins to the public key. That's off line. But more like cold storage because it's pretty inconvenient if you want to do something with the coins.
