Recently OgNasty bitcointalk account password changed and OgNasty can not Access his Bitcoin acount ...

Before any other thing, what are you trying to find out? Are you trying to act like a monitoring spirit? To monitor his movement? Monitoring the very action of a top member of the forum like when he changes his password or takes any step in his account to report him doesn't make any sense.

In my country, if you do this kind of thing without proper backing, you will be questioned seriously for not minding your business and spreading misinformation

There is a chance he happened to stumble on the fact OGNasty changed his passport by pure coincidence or chance.
It is public information, after all, anyone can have access to it. Even I have spent some idle time checking some prominent profiles on BPIP, like satoshi's and those that are most recognized around here, it is a matter of curiosity on statistics.

So in that aspect, we do not have further proof this person is actually stalking or following OGNasty's stepf on the forum.

This is one of the best lessons for those people around the community who spread or planning to spread their own perspective about a specific things. And also we need to (THINK BEFORE WE CLICK). which means it's better to do some research and  think if it's gonna okay if we gonna make a topic like this or think that no reputations involved. Also we need to know that If someone got hacked then for sure  they will create a new account and share their experience here in forum which is it's we need to mind our business  and not others if don't have any statement by the owners.

It makes sense we are supposed to expect someone creating an alternative account to ask for help.
However, I personally think that it is also good for the community if we pay attention to things we could consider to be anomalous. For example, if someone noticed that a high ranking and recognized member changed their password, and email, it would be okey to point it out, because an account like that could be used to scam people for a significant amount of money if ended up being stolen and the rightful owner did not realize it on time.

Changing of passwords is one way to secure an account in the digital world in the event of a database or some password manager was ever hacked like it was reported a few months back about the famous LastPass. With this false alert OP should be advocating for regular password changes every quarter or year...

Btw OgNasty being usually online, I believe he/she would have reported this himself, and being an established member of the forum the so called hacker wouldn't have gone anywhere with the account.

It does not mean that the account gets hacked just by changing the password. @ognaste has changed the password to increase the security of his account. And check if any of his posts have changed.  Because if the user of an account changes, the post quality will definitely be different. And can change the password to use a more advanced password to increase the security of the account.

Is that all? Does changing the password really have to be classified as just hacking? I do not think so.
We can even do that ourselves without hacking there, I mean even though in this case there are some people who don't really like changing it but there are also those who use changing passwords for personal reasons which really isn't a problem because it's related to privacy so that we feel more secure in this regard.
I also see that OgNasty has provided clarification on this matter, so maybe in this case you are making it look too big, even though this can be done consciously by yourself.

You know if @Ognasty's account has been hacked, he will surely announce it on the forum using a new account on this platform or he will tell a close friend who is a member here that his account has been hacked.

So it doesn't mean that changing the password means that the account is immediately hacked, that's not what it means, whatever the reason is, it's not our problem, you're just malicious in what you say and think.

OgNasty is hacked but in his head only... he is so cringe and pathetic that sometimes I want to puke reading his hypocritical posts, now he is asking for people to apologize to him and he is happy for CM being sized, typical tesla boy...
I wonder if he is going to be happy when someone (read government) seize his property, house and car so he can be even more happy and own nothing.  Tongue
Lol.... Oh C'monnnn...you pulled this dude off his shoes when you tried to explain how dumb he was to be assuming that Nasty's been hacked.
I understand what he felt like; you know, it's been said every other time that any form of password reset is likely an account "change-hands"..so he wanted to be the first to bring to the forum's notice..., But I hope he just realized he fucked up...lol
'em clodpolls be doing any shiii' to get merited, and even when they try all possible best to grow outta their dubious insubordination, it doesn't workout for them afterall.

LOL. I didn’t get hacked. I just upgraded my security a bit and felt the need to use fresh passwords with the new setup.

I am a bit shocked that me changing my password warrants anyone making a thread. I’m even surprised that anyone noticed. I wish people paid as much attention to the positive things I did as they do to me changing my password.
I saw the thread just now and I was like "Oh shit" this is someone that has helped so many ranked users in there beginner days and that's with me inclusive but, after going through OP, I saw that the claim had no base to it and don't deserve to be dashed on the wall.

The motive though is what I dont quite get and somehow, I feel its something newbies should look out fir in the sense that, what they don't know is much bigger than them and whn it has to do with ranked users, you have to trust them to know how to get around in the forum and so, let them have the chance to try out what they know or be the ones to raise the alarm.
This intention is good but uncalled for.

Judging from his other posts I would guess that his motive was to receive merit for bringing this to the attention of the community. That or maybe it’s an alt of someone who wanted to troll me and saw a dumb opportunity to do so. Either way, it’s probably best if OP or a moderator locked this topic as it is crazy speculation about a user and not a forum issue.

I was not initially to post anything since this issue has apparently been cleared up. (Someone could go further and ask OgNasty for a signed message, but I doubt it would be necessary, considering there was not change of email).

However, I must say that someone being as lazy and deceitful to try to allegedly cheat a pie baking contest on internet with stock images is a new low I did not expect to see around here.  Certainly deserving of a red tag.

Cheating in the pie contest and tagged. Now trying to call out a user for changing his password. What's next? It's perfectly fine for users to change their passwords from time to time. In fact, it's actually probably encouraged to do so to protect your account.

He's a pretty lazy and cunning guy. I first noticed him in the knowledge quiz forum, where he tried to get merit twice because GazetaBitcoin created a very convenient topic for getting merit.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.61869752

Today's topic is that he is looking for places where he can get a couple of merits and create a scandal. You can guess that he is not a beginner, since he so deftly grasps where you can get easy merit. The negative tag, I think, will only create a reason for the birth of a new profile of this liar.

Well I guess this is the guy's way of gaining clout or trying to atone for his first misdemeanor but alas, he just proved his naivety and inability to do some research before spreading bullcrap about an OG like Ognasty!
I say we just blame this title on the cluelessness of the poster and nothing more.

Don't need to waste your time to feed this scammer, he's tried to cheat a pie contest by using someone pie and claimed if it's created by him [1] since the @OP is a scammer, why we should trust any words come from a scammer?

@OP take your time, if OgNasty was got hacked we will see someone create a post in scam accusation section, but until now it's still nothing.

Very shallow to assume that. Some here often change passwords to protect their accounts for such breach and changing passwords are helpful to make your account protection stronger. If its a reason for such hack then ultimately many old members has been flagged as hacked accounts already.

It's natural for one to change his password for safer reason, if you keep counting on people's changing their password meaning 60% of users here have been also hacked as well, so I will advise you don't pay attention to people's profile more especially when you have no proof or no strong evidence to show up. You can only report an account whenever you noticed unusual activity like such user using it to scam people and posting a ponzi scheme and you confirmed it wasn't the original user then you may come up with your claims.

When I saw the title, I thought it was about some serious attempt to hack the account of a respected member of this forum, but now I see that it is a frivolous attempt to attract attention.
If OgNasty account was hacked, it will be a big alarm because he is one of co-signers of the forum multi-signature wallet.

Months ago, a senior developer, Luke Jr. was hacked that triggered an alarm and theymos removed Luke Jr. as one of forum staffs.

Forum funds.

There was a reshuffle of forum fund co-signers, in 2020, OgNasty was one of co-signers.

Changing passwords should actually be a common practice of every member of this forum for security reasons, and conclusions about account hacking should be based on very serious facts and reasons.
After all, OgNasty has been a member of this forum for a long time and if someone really hacked his account, he would be able to solve it himself, with the forum admins and in silence, without unnecessary public attention  Grin
I suggest that the OP locks this unnecessary topic.

It is one of signal of changes in one account but it is not enough to call that account is hacked.
Usually if an account is hacked, there would be more changes like email changed, captcha code change, posting style change, language change.

Password changed / Woke up recently. Good signals to know potential scammers

First, having such status doesn't mean the account is hacked, unless the account started posting scams, phoenix miners, ponzi scheme investments, etc.
Second, it's not bitcoin, its bitcointalk account, there is no such thing as bitcoin account.
Third, wait until some alt posting as og that his account here in meta board for awareness that the account might post or PM sheyts.

Password reset doesn't mean this was a hack. If it was a change in the email address, then you may claim so. And where did he say he can't access his Bitcoin account, which account are you referring by the way? I can't see enough information in your claim. I don't think it was a hack, rather it's a normal password reset which everyone should do (change) once in month or a few months at least.
