OH MY GAS!!!

I have experienced sending tokens to an exchange and the transaction is successful but why are my tokens still in my wallet? Is it because I changed the gas price from 41 to 38? If that is the case, how do I know the recommended gas when sending tokens so I will not commit the same mistake again?
Maybe your transaction is in pending that's why your tokens are showing or it is just a bug, maybe it will be gone later.
The gas is the transaction fee for tokens so always use the recommended fee if you want your transaction to be done faster.

well
first,
gas price is not a problem on this problem
then
about why your token still in your wallet,it's imposiblle , i guess
actually u know the token already gone to the exchange after u see on etherscan.com with ur tx hash (with a transaction already confirmed to block i mean)
probaly just client side error.
about gas just see on https://ethgasstation.info/
u will know what the best gas on that time.

Scenario that pops in my head is that if your transaction was successful and it confirmed, look this information on https://etherscan.io/, your wallet software that you are currently using might have some bad syncing or something as it shows false information. Check within few hours to see if you still have your coins in your wallet.

You can even send fee with 1gass, it might take longer to confirm, but gas here is not the problem in my opinion.

You should wait little bit and check later, if the transaction is successful your tokens are will be on exchange and balance in your wallet will be zero.
How much gas is needed you can check on ethgasstation. Here is the link.
