At this point, Bitcoin still has more market adoption than all other coinc COMBINED.
The only reason to mine any altcoin is to be able to make more converting them to Bitcoin than you can do directly.

Litecoin has been pretty stable in the 0.08 Bitcoin area for a while now.

there were not altcoin that remained stable for a very long time around 0.03, not even litecoin, wake me up when thereum can sustain that level forever

all i see right now with altcoin, is that they are super unstable, they don't have a n average increase with a minimum like bitcoin, after a certain time-frame

Should we all just switch to Ethereum?  It would make me rich.  Just a thought.

A switch to Ethereum is good...  If you you're planning to earn bitcoin.

It's only a stalemate until miners decide it's not a stalemate.  Smiley

You can switch to ETH if you want and risk buying the top right now. Not me, I'm sticking with BTC.

But what if Ethereum can go to 20 dorrars?

I checked ethereum about 5 days ago and could not even find a wallet. It is too different for me. But it doesn't matter Bitcoin is likely to go on, problems will likely solve. As I always say, too much money at stake to let him die.
lol too big to fail--where have we heard that before?  I don't think bitcoin will fail but not because it's too big.

Ethereum is almost more daunting to get into than bitcoin. As maokoto mentioned, I can't even find a wallet... I just hold onto it on Poloniex

There's also the small matter of obtaining it too. More often than not you need that shitty old Bitcoin stuff to exchange it with because unlike ETH it's almost, like, a currency and stuff.

I am well aware of ALL alts tendency go from upper left on the chart to lower right in a hurry.

However, ethereum is already running quarter of the nodes of Bitcoin after only being up and running for 4 months.

Also, ethereum wouldn't have scaling issues and not to mention smart contracts.

And the ETH Blockchainhas been mentioned by banks and IBM for the internet of things.

POS wouldn't get centralized either

Well in my opinion Eth is still far to overcome BTC and it would hurt the crypto-currency if people or companies have to switch from bitcoin to Eth. Well who knows what will happen. I do have some Eth which im holding just incase my intuition is wrong  Cheesy

Regardless of technical merits, or lack thereof in either direction, the immaturity and fractiousness of all this block crap is what might scupper BTC's continued progress. The longer it goes on the more glaring its divisions and flaws become.

People don't 'trust in math' if the folks wielding the math are a shower of shit. I hope summat gets resolved soon.

I'm not giving up on Bitcoin, but damn this blocksize thing is kinda fucked up.  Could you imagine how this would fly if they could somehow come to a compromise that would work with everyone?
