they are offering a referral program but only afther you bring  10 active affiliates

You can still earn from trading fees if your invitees are actively trading on Okex.

Read this

2. Once you have 10 referrals who've claimed $10 rewards for buying crypto, you can become an OKEx affiliate and start earning % of your invitees' trading fees. In that case, you're no longer eligible to receive the referral rewards.

For the first 10 referrals, you both receive $10 after the invitees successfully purchased crypto but it's limited to 10 referrals.
However, you can still earn from trading fees from your invitees so if you have more than 10 referrals you can still earn from trading fees. According to them, you can earn up to 50% of their trading fees compared to Binance that only offers "up to 40% commission". The good thing about Okex referral is you can earn clean $10 for each referral, unlike Binance.

Yes. You will not get anything until you invite 10 people, it seems me a marketing trick of the okex team, by which they want to increase the number of their users.

read this: https://www.okex.com/affiliates

Is it trick or strategy? they are not doing anything to deceive anyone rather it is very open what the requirements are in other to earn with their referral program, besides i don't see how increasing the number of users in their platform an issue, perhaps the number of referral is a bit high compare to what binance for example is offering, but this remain part of their requirement which users can either accept or not, i guess now it is clear why binance is the most preferred, they seem to be more flexible in some certain aspect than others.

Does that mean that you get nothing until you reach 10 referrals and those 9 and below referrals, you are likely to get nothing?

I have not used okex and seems that it is becoming the choice of other traders.

Thanks mate.

And they should be 10 active referrals, well, that's quite of a requirement but I guess there are those that are good in affiliate marketing specially those influencers and has wide range of audience through their Youtube channels and social media accounts.

Yes OKEx has a kickback commissions like Binance, the kickback is 10% while in Binance you could set up yourself from 0%-20%.

if you read the reddit/binance pages you will see that a lot of users have problems with them
What I read from some reddit users they are have a problem of waiting for the commissions, some are didn't know how it works since they're new. They didn't complaining if the kickback commissions is scam or any technical problems.

I've only been using binance so far and I haven't had any problems in them so far. Besides some times when they took a few hours to confirm a withdrawal that I was making, I found no issue at all.
As for Okex, I haven't checked it out yet so I'm not familiar with how it works and how their referral system work.

Probably because they don't understand and might they didn't follow the step-by-step setup of the kickback.  I didn't an expert on this but I think Binance will not ruin their reputation on this referral program they had.

Just try to read this article posted by the Binance website, the Referral program FAQ, this might help you.

Comparing both exchanges I prefer to choose Binance but for me, they are both have good reputation, the only advantage thing is that Binance is a more popular one than Okex.

What exactly do you mean by "a lot of users have problems with them"? Do you mean that Binance doesn't give them their cashback/ referral commissions?
Maybe they don't know exactly how the referral system works? As far as I know, none (at least from the people that I know) had any issue with them, regarding commissions. Undecided

Well, I've used Okex a few times and the platform is relatively fair, haven't encountered issue with these guys and besides, I still own some coin there but then, when compared to bunance, I think binance still stands out, seriously! Binance has such a reputation that can not be over rated or over emphasised enough over Okex. Not to talk of it, the Binance coin (BNB) is one of the coins that actually stands out and has been doing okay before the decline across all coins for which BNB also took part in.
Again, Binance smart chain has been a refuge point for projects and start ups in the resent Ethereum gas fee pump. Hence, in a comparison between Binance and Okex, I'll go for Binance.

You can check the referral reward for OKEX:

https://www.okex.com/referral#:~:text=When%20your%20referral%20completes%20the,or%20more%20via%20Buy%2FSell.

I am not OKEX user, so no experience about this at all, but I believe the above link will help.
