unfortunately it's not the wallet that I was looking for =(
Do you have the seed phrase of the wallet you are searching for? If the seed is in a safe place and you have a way to check that the coins are still in that wallet (if you know your addresses), you have nothing to worry about. Your coins wont go missing if you can't access them on that particular phone. You always have the option to recover your Electrum wallet from seed on a different mobile or desktop device.

Electrum versions below 3.3.0 used to have a bug in their network instance that crashed, it is possible that on your phone it closes the application. Just an idea based on that: try turning your data or WiFi off (disconnect the internet) and then open Electrum on your phone and see if it crashes again. You may be able to get your seed that way.

Thanks, this actually worked! unfortunately it's not the wallet that I was looking for =(

Thank you everyone

.
Problem is, the version in the website may be different than what they've released in Playstore so you might encounter errors during installation.
Probably Jellybean might not support the latest version, few days after the latest version is released on electrum office website, it will also be taken to playstore, and just only the latest update unlike the Electrum official site that you can still downgrade the app to electrum previous version.
I shouldn't have used the word "version".
I mean, the "release version" apk's may be different than the uploaded binaries in the Playstore.
If those are different, it might fail to install-over the currently installed old version.

You can just download one of the lower version from the https://download.electrum.org/ as illustrated above, this should probably work with Jellybean.

If fortunately you are able to recover back your seed phrase, it will be better to use the latest Electrum version (version 4.1.5) on a safe and secure device. Make sure the keys and addresses on newly generated wallet correspond to the keys and addresses on the old wallet to be certain if passphrase was included or not. If the keys do not correspond, then create a new wallet on the new secure device, make sure you verify it signature as always. Send all your coins from the old wallet to the new wallet.

Also, your seed phrase (+passphrase if included) is your coin because you can use it to retrieve your coin at anytime on any supported device but should be on a safe and secure device, make sure you do the seed phrase (+passphrase if included) offline backup and keep it safe from damage and attack.

Best to always update from Electrum official site, there are history of fake Electrum apps on playstore.

Can someone help me with a step by step on what version would I need that can run with 4.3 jellybean and how to  actually update the wallet?
I don't have an old Android jellybean device to test but, you can check which version will work from the downloads archive page of Electrum:
Link: https://download.electrum.org/

The lowest version that can connect to servers is version 3.3.4, download the file "Electrum-3.3.4.0-release.apk" and install it to your phone.
Problem is, the version in the website may be different than what they've released in Playstore so you might encounter errors during installation.

Hey all,

Looking for some help on how I can access to check a really old wallet on electrum 3.0.3.0 installed to phone running 4.3 jellybean.

When I open electrum, the logo appear for about 10 seconds then the app just closes.

Did a bit of research and found that the version is no longer support. I tried to update electrum using play store but can't because phone is too old and not supported anymore in the play store.

I think I need to manually update electrum with a newer version but just not sure how to do it.

Can someone help me with a step by step on what version would I need that can run with 4.3 jellybean and how to  actually update the wallet?

Keep in mind that I don't have the phrase as backup. I'm hoping to somehow get the wallet to work and sync then retrieve the phrase.

Thanks for the help.
