If anyone wants to view the changes to the code please view here: https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/tree/casinocoin-dev
GoldSeal was kind enough to make the changes. We will implement this update soon and initiating the following;

Total coin supply reduced to: 63000000
Block reward reduced to: 10
Min Version = x: Pushing old clients out
New Version = 1.3.x

Anything else minor that should be done in the update?

I have been offline in regards to casinocoin for the last few weeks so maybe i missed some things. What is the reason to reduce the total coin supply? I would think the coin would benefit from a larger amount of available coins? By reducing the amount and the block reward you probably hope the coin value will rise but i doubt that in its current state that will be the case. The idea behind all the cryptos is that at some point in time when the last coin is mined the miners will make their money with the transaction fees. Until a coin is widely accepted the amount of transactions is still low and thus a coin will loose the interest of miners in the future. I would opt for keeping the amount of coins the same but reduce the block reward to lengthen the period of time the miners will receive block rewards to give the coin a better chance of surviving in the long run. Just my two cents ...

BTW, sent a request into bittrex to see if Rami would consider adding Casinocoin. Bittrex is a much more popular exchange than Mintpal anyway.

Already got a reply about 3 days ago:

"Thanks for the request. We have a large list of coins but can only launch a few per day. If you would like to see your coin traded, follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex. We respond to creative and insightful posts to help market your favorite coins and Bittrex.

Thanks,

Bill @ Bittrex
Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange"

So i followed them, and tweeted about it Smiley maybe some more should do the same so we get listed

sent some tweets to basically telling them how mintpal was jerking us around and we'd rather support their exchange!

Regarding the Atm concept, I put inquiries into this company for the two guys I met. Seems this company makes general ATMS with QR scanners and they have a bitcoin firmware already. I'm going to see if they can adapt it for casinocoin. If possible, I'll post the info here in case you guys want to drop some ATM's of your own. Wink

Sent a support ticket into c-cex with the new github location, homepage for them to update in their listing, and the subscription form for the mailing lists. Hopefully, we can get them all on the mailing list for notifications. It'll make our release process smoother down the road.

Looks Like https://coinnext.com/ is up and running.

Their order book is building.

I was able to deposit coins and put them up for sale.

First trade went through at .00000550.

Nice.  That looks like a respectable exchange.  But I still think mintpal is a good one to get on.  A lot of very high volume traders are on there.

CSC devs are making all the right moves so I think things should start falling into place very soon.

Contacted mintpal and frankly the voting looks like an outright extortion deal. The person I talked to (Jason) said he wouldn't even consider adding casinocoin for a outright payment, insisting that it may (not definitive) be added only if we managed to become the top coin on the voting page, meaning we would have to pay them several bitcoin for votes. I think we're best spending our energy on other ways to promote the coin and improve it's acceptance at places that aren't trying to squeeze money out of opensource projects.

Wow, what a bunch of scammers.  I had no idea they operated that way.

Yeah, let's move on, plenty of great exchanges out there now.

If the miners are smart, they won't dump there coins right away. However, they are rarely smart, more greedy and scared. So, maybe you get the opportunity to pickup some cheap before we release the cap and subsidy changes first week of July. Wink

BTW, if anyone is a graphics designer - let's get a collection of Casinocoin banners and "accepted here" buttons going. This type of media collateral can be distributed through the casinocoin.org site. Wink

If you guys want to contribute a few, please feel free to post them here. Wink

Price at nearly 600 sats now.  Amazing what happens when miners don't have millions of coins to dump.

And maybe word is getting out that the CSC devs are getting shit done.

I love it!   ; )

yes it is, but what happens when Cryptsy and other exchanges actually unlock their wallets? guess we will see...

BTW, if anyone finds a pool that's on the old chain, please contatc them and tell them where to get the new client/source and ask them to subscribe to the development news mailing lists.

Any help you can give us in identifying and notifying non-compliant pools and services would be greatly appreciated. Eventually, the mailing list should do all the heavy lifting, but we need to build that up first. Wink

Important Announcement:

We've added two new opt-in mailing lists to help distribute announcements for Casinocoin more effectively. Don't worry. We're not selling you anything and we won't be sending out more than a couple mails per month at most. This is more to broadcast version updates. release notifications, etc for pools and services. This allows pool owners or other interested parties to tell us they want an email when something comes out that may affect them.

So, if you operate a pool or similar service that relies on running a Casinocoin wallet and would like to be notified of new client releases, hard forks, or service issues affecting the Casinocoin network, then please sign up for the "Casinocoin Development News" mailing list here: http://eepurl.com/WGcoP

If you are a general user and would like general news notifications regarding Casinocoin, we are providing a "Casinocoin Announcements" mailing list. Please signup here if you wish to receive these notifications: http://eepurl.com/WGeu1

Thank you!
+1 can't wait to hear about the atm operators. Is anyone a professional or good at graphics ? We should try and get some generic banners around for casinocoin!

Yeah they want me to help them find an ATM provider that can handle both Bitcoin and scrypt coins. Specifically, they are interested in litecoin, casinocoin, and a few others. I told them this might be a bit tough, but certainly possible this summer. I need to look into this more for them.
