Your question will be more appropriate if someone tries to play poker or mahjong, which entails a lot of experience in playing to be on the winning side of the game. But for bingo it usually go for luck , besides most older people tend to play this is for the social aspect and easy of playing it  as many have mentioned here.

I think it's different per person. It all depends on your genes, problems, situation etc. People can get addicted to gambling at almost any age I think. I used to be addicted at the age of 21 but now at the age of 26 I learned to control myself.

I've seen bingo being played almost anywhere in the world. I guess people prefer to play it because it can actually be fun plus the quietness of the surrounding when playing a bingo gives a player a consentration thus it somehow relieves the stress gamblers feel. Also bingo is plain luck, unlike other gambling where it is required that you have a skill to win.

Many Hollywood movies show older people enjoying their bingo nights. And bingo is a form of gambling. So why do you think older people would prefer bingo over other forms of gambling?

it doesnt mean that if your older ,your wiser...
as you can see playing bingo doesnt need anything,
it doesnt need any strategy or whatever...
it just need pure luck... so playing bingo in older age is advisable for older people.
because they dont need to think or whatever. while other gambling need skill and strategy.

Basically he should of made the title different because what he means to say is that Bingo is a better gambling game then dice. Meaning that many older and wiser people play Bingo and win, because they are smarter.

Bingo does not take much time like other gambling , it takes hardly minutes to complete the game , i keeps me out of suspense as i can know if i won or lost.
Moreover i will call bingo 100% based on Luck and moreover it is a Funny game.

A bingo game takes more than an hour to play and can provide more fun at a lower cost than the same time spent on blackjacks or craps.
Older people can play bingo to occupy their free without losing too much money.

Not that long too. Bingo will end in couple of minutes if you have a luck there but mostly they dont. And the payout for each of bingo games is a little low and compare to dice site or others gambling games so you will slowly get the winning prize and will slowly lose too. It is pure just for fun only nothing else  Grin

I don't know where you seen a bingo game take more than an hour, they mostly take just a few minutes each. I used to have to go with my grandmother a few years back and she would be running 8 boards simultaneously and they read the letter/numbers off so fast I am not sure how they kept up. I always hated when she would go to the bathroom and I would have to watch her boards, as it was a lot to scan when they would be calling off B14, N3... in rapid succession and people yelling bingo all the time.

I also think they charged $1 per board/per game, so over an evening they could have a few hundred dollars wagered in an evening easily. Of course, the payouts were pretty good too, with usually a few hundred people playing at once, and I believe a 80% payout. So a couple wins could put you ahead for the night.

Dont see any relation between subject and topic

But I think older people prefer to play bingo instead of other gambling, because bingo is a simple game, so the player doesnt need any strategy or skill with that like poker or blackjack. All thing they need is just to get fun with a game, and they could find it in bingo.

I played Bingo (not on your site) but in one of the local parlours and surprisingly it favors the old Cheesy I mean they were winning one after the another.

I never won anything, I tried a few times and then went away, I think there is the social aspect plus it's a little slow paced game and which is why you don't see too many young people keen to play Bingo.

The title has nothing to do with the actual topic and the vote... Age has nothing to do with being wise when it comes to gamble... You should just know that luck is what comes to play at the end of the day.

Only tried bingo once and it was for the social aspect. Actually more for the food aspect, because I went there with some firends since in that place there was an open buffet if you play bingo, so we can eat cheap and then just party, and if we get lucky and win somehting we even have the night paid by bingo lol, if we don't then we just eat well and cheap.

And now on the topic, I think it's the same with old people playing bingo, they go there and socialize for a while.

IMO is for social aspect cause in my country, in China they claim official lottery(bingo) is for charity, of course they lie to public, so people who in China buy lotteries or bingo are fooled by the government cause they corrupt those money, never or seldom used the money on charity.
they don't just do it in china, they do that everywhere, watch this for some more details, this one is a good laugh haha, John Oliver goes off about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PK-netuhHA

bingo is extremely time consuming, most of the older crowd enjoy this because it takes up most of their evening/or day
and they get to hang around people their age, why else would they do it? surely they don't all win so there has to be a deeper reason for them
all hanging out in bingo parlors

as others have mentioned, bingo is very similar to lottery so it is very exciting. besides it doesn't need any sort of skills or a good memory so it is very suitable for elderly. for example in poker, you need to have some skills and you can't play with a lot of people while bingo can have more players.

Bingo is a Form of Lottery which is totally Luck Dependent , but in gambling(Sportsbook or others) you can guess as one is your favorite or on based on performance but in Bingo you cant do anything.

And Yeah many hollywood movies shows old people playing bingo and i guess old people feel to be safe with it as in present gambling there are fixes and dishonesty but in bingo you are totally on luck , no intentional defeat.

at the risk of being attacked by your sig users...

you pay a lot for that but it doesn't seem to be helping the site. i wish i could play here more (been a user 3+ months), and at most played a couple games. i still have one active bingo card in a room that is weeks old. why not spend those funds on some other advertising as it is clearly not working?

in my opinion

also, to stick with the topic: life has beaten me down so much i actually enjoy bingo as it's stress free gambling (for me). i used to laugh at bingo players but now i'm one of them  Smiley not sure if that makes sense...

Bingo is completely different from most types of gambling. Its usually done in retirement homes and usually its never for money but for prices. Its usually to make it entertaining.

Its similar to playing the lottery.
