Yes arbitrage is not easy to pull off.  I have tried it here and there but can't make money money at it really.  But yes there are soemtimes 10% differences between exchanges. I need to put more thought into it.  Maybe if you had like 10 BTC at each exchange and bought and sold at different ones, you could pocket hte difference.  BUt your initial investment would be at risk to BTC price collapsing overall.  Besides that, there would be little risk though.

Also these websites don't seem to allow you to make a "market" order, which slows everything down.

guess he wants to do arbitrage, but yeah, that's why arbitrage is not so easy after all and there are still quite significant price differences sometimes at the various exchanges.

Good thing you made a new topic to make fun of him. Riveting stuff.

I would have replied to him to let him know he could just send bitcoins to btc-e, but I wasn't allowed to--blame the forum rules.

I mean, really.  The guy posts on a Bitcoin forum about how to send dollars when he could instantly send bitcoins, gmafb.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to transfer USD from my Bitstamp account to BTC-e. According to BTC-e's website, they accept Bitinstant deposits but I'm not given the option to do so on Bitinstant's website. Does anyone know why? I've emailed them, but haven't heard back yet. Thanks for your help!

wtf--what does he think bitcoins are for? lol
