I genuinely think these influencers doing pump and dumps should be sued by relevant authorities mainly cause; well its fucking illegal. The people doing pump and dumps before were not any influencers, they were either whales or random people on telegram promoting shitcoins providing "200% profits" on tittycoin or whatever.

The difference now to before is that kids are getting dragged into this and expecting them to know financial literacy just ain't it.

Possible loophole exploited. If you can't do something like that because of financial fairplay or market ethics, pass it on to the kids cause if they get caught, it's just ignorance. Slap on the hand and told not to do it again.

Possible to fine the parents, or the projects? Then projects will be forced to vet their buyers. I mean, this is bad for Bitcoin but kids buying Bitcoin probably not too many. And like any other thing, they'd need to ask their parents first.

P.S. I feel a lot more detest today than when I originally read the thread. Maybe it's just delayed boomer reaction to scamming kids.

Both are at fault in this case imo? I don't even need to say what the Faze clan did wrong, what they did was a pretty d*ck move imo. Quite a disappointment to be perfectly honest, This is pretty close, if not already, them intentionally scamming their viewers. Now for the viewers fault, or those that got scammed at least, well, what can I say, it's the 21st century, people are just too goddamn lazy to look up a few tidbits to know if something is real or not. I swear some people just think of whatever influencers say as actual words of god or something, it's like they're mindless believers of a weird-ass cult that popped out of nowhere.

I'd definitely agree with them being investigated, I reckon those who got scammed already lost enough, it's the influencers' turn now.

This is what I don't like about people knowing crypto at the start. It's negative entirely. They would think that it's only all scams and they would share their hate on the crypto space that it wouldn't make sense for other people that they told to about it to go into it.

I liked the videos that you shared and I share the same sentiment that they should be investigated. The idea of redistributing wealth to hodlers, wow. For me, it's already should be to steer away. Lol.

For the title, it's not that okay, it didn't include the gist of the topic.

Those FaZe people are honestly one of the crappiest "influencers" in existence, heck, probably even like 10x crappier than Jake and Logan Paul. I dislike the latter with passion as well, but at least they don't promote pump and dumps.
HAHAAHHAH oh how doinky-doinky were you about Logan, read: https://www.businessinsider.com/dink-doink-coin-logan-paul-crypto-doge-cartoon-meme-world-2021-7

How's my impression on the thread title? 9/10?
9/10. Subtracted 1 point because of a missing clickbait thumbnail.
You know what, I deserve that. brb, gonna complain about you on r/btc. Im sure some theymos haters will join me in hating another btt user.

Title was 4/10 sorry man, I clicked because I saw it was you creating the thread;)
Am I really being this predictable at this point? Shit me I guess.

I read all the replies; my response:

To people who think this is OK/cant do anything about this; I think right now its only getting worse mainly because these influencers are pulling non-tech savvy 12 year old kids into investing in shitcoins, and since nothing is fuckin regulated when it comes to shitcoins-- you can't call 12 year olds idiots, they are kids they are not supposed to know shit. And there is only so much parents could also do.

I genuinely think these influencers doing pump and dumps should be sued by relevant authorities mainly cause; well its fucking illegal. I am at an age that I stopped really caring about people scamming others. I have seen so many people scam so many others that it is not even a shock to me anymore, it is something I quite expect at this point. It is really not something that bothers me too much, it is something that I come to conclusion that it is normal and we should not be feeling all too bad about it.

I know that we are talking about scammers here, and saying we should not be worrying about it sounds awful to many people but I am starting to believe that anyone who gets tricked by these kinds of scammers "kind of" asked for it as well. I have seen people fall for such stupid scams that eventually I started to ignore these type of news. Be careful yourself, do not get scammed, do not be tricked, don't invest into something you do not know fully, and eventually that means you are going to be fine, let others get scammed and ignore them.

Gotta say I've seen a lot more crap going on using Bitcoin instead though (but the scam usually involves telling people they're getting Bitcoin on their behalf but they're actually getting fake accounts with virtual numbers, easy to trick as most people don't usually know how it works).

No disrespect to people on social media but you get what you get, and you deserve it all, I guess. Not that I'm saying I'm immune to scammery and hoodwinkery, I still occasionally get tricked by people who promise to pay the BTC later, and then I give up after one invoice chasing reminder -- but that's always been true for a freelancer who doesn't charge upfront;)

Our task is to prevent at least novices from falling into the crazy seduction of coin crushers. and sadly why Shitcoin has become a very promising thing in the eyes of people even though it has been warned thousands of times.
The answer is that misguided influencers have further messed up this reputation.

It's not wrong, we will find it very difficult to stop news from influencers who have followers over 1000. Even how many newcomers are trapped and don't want to know crypto anymore because of the wrong initial step.

Well, that's what people get for blindly following these influencers/monetized narcissists, you fall in their pump and dump scheme which ended up with them making the money and not you, don't listen to trends create by one person, see to it that the trends that you follow are talked by many people.

Wow, just how on earth did they promote their scams? The fact that stuff like this still works makes me wonder whether we get new users every day, or the same old rekt plebs are just trying to play around and hope they are successful with this high-risk investment (if we can call it that).

IIRC, some influencers also promote shady crypto a few days ago, and Mutahar also covers it (or somebody else, can't recall it). Why do influencers accept the risk of being jailed for some thousand dollars, I don't really understand.
They really do take advantage of the influence they have on the people who supports them. I think that it cannot be denied that these fans of theirs are to blame for believing such without practicing due diligence through researching about these kinds of things. They would just jump without taking a look into the waters just to support their idols, willing to go over such extremes I bet. More people are adapting and joining the crypto world but I think these people do not have the same principle of the prior, these new users are more impulsive, some are ignorant and in for the short-term up trend.

The victims who falls into this influence trap of shitcoins are to be blamed speaking straight forward. How come they get so much conceived from these youtubers and fake social media stars that they are also ready to invest their hard earned money on the coins they are mentioning to them. But in reality these celebrities are taking undue advantage of their fan following to make these shitcoins pump as first they invest huge funds into them and when they gain profits simple dump them on exchanges and who suffers? Logal Paul already has his crypto portfolio and I think he has some other shitcoins also on that list so no doubt he will be indulge in such cheap schemes. So people need to be aware about this.

There used to be a saying that "lottery is tax on the stupid".I guess that such shitcoin scams deserve to be called tax on the stupid as well.Nobody with a brain would buy such scam shitcoin.
Only stoned teenagers that have some money to spend(or their dad's or mom's credit cards) would buy such shit. The followers of these "influencers" are usually teenagers and kids. This kinda makes the scam way worse.
Welp too bad the stupid really made this people from this organization much more richer. I mean there's nothing new to this kind of thing, people use their influence to manipulate the market and make a profit out of it. If you are still depending your opinion on the whims and words of celebrities, you deserve to lose your money to these pump and dump schemes.

This is common since before when cryptocurrency started to spread when we are in the bull market around 2017-2018.

Most of the social media influencers are doing this kind of scheme, to be honest, even some of them don't know what they are talking/advertising/shilling to their audience, it's just because of the money.

I also experienced this kind of influencer in our country, and I am curious how many people got rekt because of them.

Tl:dr: Members of gaming organization, Faze Clan: Kay, teeqo, nikan,Jarvis pumped and dumped various shit coins to gain money and also did fake giveaways to themselves to make people think the shitcoins are legit.

An indepth explanation/s: watch these 2 VERY GOOD videos by Someordinarygamers exposing the scam that is SaveTheKids token and how it all went down:

https://youtu.be/MMNeb5qKFyg

https://youtu.be/0SSzCoz_XNc

Basically the kind of shit McAfee and Roger's Ver used to do by using the power of "influencers", and fact of the matter is....it still works on dumb fucks on Twitter dot com. Now the ever so shithead YouTube Logan Paul is promoting "Dink doink". I think that name of the shitcoins alone sounds enough.

When we said we wanted new people to adapt to crypto, and that new people are now coming on board, I only see stories like these being uncovered and it's just funny as fuck seeing people fall for it over and over again. Thoughts?
