deposits and withdraws now working. There was actually another thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=350078.40 and apparently another message in the chinese section.
It looks ok now but I wouldn't recommend that exchange :
- down time without any support/messages
- also the exchange is really buggy here and there , nothing major but very annoying bug
- volumes weak

If they lock up just BTC.. just arbitrage another alt back to cryptsy?

I think it's been fixed, at least I just got my withdrawal that was in Processing status for about 24 hours. So, might give them another try to trade, once things smooth down a little bit.

Trade moment in general on bter is slow and there's other places that have better volume than them. I just use Cryptsy mostly and used btc38.com a couple times for PTS.

Well btc is a nice currency in your cold offline wallet until you decide to send it somewhere.

More than likely they are using customer BTC to make money in their own arbitrage or perhaps the funds crossed the point where the owners said, 'We can make a lot of money with a "hack".

I can live with a temporary Issue, but at least they could have had a notice on their site somewhere. I was foolish enough to deposit funds that i wanted to trade between cryptsy and bter ....
now i am sitting on my hands ;(

I get now that chinese msg on bter. I don't get how they handle the load for the deposits but not for the withdraw ? that doesn't really make sense, right ?
I got that notificationafter sending some coins there of course.
Scammy also or just a temp issue ?
It is crazy that there are more scammy things than fair things out there in our crypt world ? How could btc become viable with such things, my banker may be a robber but at least he is not totally foooling all my money
