With the recent crash I am looking for a new altcoin to get into that will give me good returns over the next 6-12 months and have been looking at Ondo.

I like that it is a RWA (real world asset) and it is only $1b market cap but I noticed it only has 13% of its supply currently circulating which is not good. I usually invest in altcoins that have at least 50% circulating.

Is anyone else invested in Ondo? What do you think it can reach this bull run?

For those not invested , does it look like it has potential or not?

I think you shall be concerned about the schedule of the next ONDO token unlock.

The picture above said: if ONDO's big token unlocks scheduling, it is safe to trade it. That should happen by year's end. Though, it's quite overvalued, but im fine as long as we will not have VCs to dump their tokens to the market.

ONDO does have potential, but it must also back to what's the bitcoin trend and token unlock schedule. Token unlock is the main problem that may be making the price get stuck.

I expect ONDO to reach new ATH during the next bullrun, but this is not a suggestion to buy ONDO.

Ondo is very new, it was only released 6 months ago.

The thing with new altcoins is they will either fail miserably or could end up doing really well and I am willing to bet a small amount they will do really well.
I have no idea about this altcoin, but a quick research on it shows that it might not be a bad idea to invest in Ondo. Its relationship with Asset management giant BlackRock might be an indication that one can take the risk. From my little research, the coin is also performing well. However, one needs to be careful in investing in these coins because they are unpredictable. And it will not also be advisable to keep the coin for a long time. Such investment needs close monitoring and profit should be taken immediately after you are comfortable with your gains.

Or, to not monitor them all that much, spend the sum that would be okay for you to go in with as James did and see how it goes Wink That's how I would do it too. Research, going into the contract, checking the main things that can be rugged or potential vulnerabilities, then investing a small sum and watching after it from time to time, as well as the news about the project.

I don't trust altcoins because a project might actually seem to have potential, but there are so many factors that can contribute to the downfall of a potential project. Some potential projects were also affected by some of these factors, and once the project owners can't keep up with the project, they are just going to abandon the project to survive on its own, and if the token cannot survive, it will die. I know of some potential projects that are no longer existing today; some of them even developed their own DEX where you can trade lots of pairs, and they also had a custodial close-source wallet, which is still exiting, but no one knows about them because the project is dead.

The point I am trying to make is that you have to invest the amount you can afford to lose because a potential token can still fail, so be smart and always follow every update on the project, and also make sure to take out your money when you can. I normally use Terra Luna as an example. There was a time when it was also hyped, and people saw a vision that the price was going to reach $20 in the future, but even before the future was reached, Luna crashed, and now that the V2 was created, how many people do you see hyping the project again? That was why I said that there are some factors that can actually cause some potential projects to collapse.

Have not heard about this coin and as of now? I have no plans in adding  anything to my altcoins specially shitcoins so i may passed in this one , and asking about the potentials?
I will instead put my money in Solana and Binance than this one .

I am hoping we have one more crash where Bitcoin goes below $50k again as this will crash Ondo too back down to $0.50 again.

I noticed it was in the top 3 coins to recover within 24 hours after the Bitcoin crash a few days ago so they have a lot of interest.

I do agree with earlier post too that it may be best just looking for a quick trade. Ondo increased 45% within 24 hours after the bitcoin crash earlier this week so could be another great opportunity if we do see another crash soon.

Thanks for this thread, you and everybody else!

I do think (as others stated) it would be nice to have some ONDO up until the start of the next year (it's maximum, because, as it was said, it may drop in price due to circulation), and try analyzing the situation through this period of time, where it would be better to get more positions or leave it entirely.

All that I know is that most altcoins will not get to their all-time high again after this year all-time high prices in the last bull run. So it is good to be careful of altcoins generally. If you invest on them and make profit, it is better you convert the money fast. Another thing that I know is that if bitcoin price increases, the altcoins are likely to increase also in price. But to be very careful of altcoins is very important because their fall will lead to huge loss.

I've had an eye on Ondo, I certainly think it will do quite well.

A market cap over $1b makes me sceptical though. I know it could still go higher, but when you start getting to that size I feel I need to be 100% sure that the token will outperform SOL, or even BTC. Bitcoin might not do many more Xs from here Sol probably will so why take the risk on $1b+ coins that may not even beat Sol?

I'm not a Sol maxi btw. I tend to choose only a small number of the top coins then I look waaaaay down the list at the micro caps where I think I can get 100x return. The middle ground for me just isn't worth it.

the FDV of ondo is also whooping 7 billion, personally I'd invest in SOL instead since it has really active blockchain and it might beat ETH or close to ETH in term of market capitalization at some point since revenue of SOL already compete with ETH a lot.
but I guess OP has his share of belief as to why he choose ONDO

however, i will not prefer micro cap coin compared to ONDO, current trend is that most of the whale just don't want to invest into micro cap coin if it's not meme coin and usually the micro cap coin just getting delisted after awhile.

I've never invested in Ondo but it is one of the coins I have my eyes for after the current bearish trend across the crypto market is over. To date, I've never read anything bad about Ondo and I never knew it was a project with its blockchain until I started reading about it after the good performance shortly after it was listed on top exchanges. This project has real usage as it bridges DeFi and TradFi, which is unique in the crypto world. This coupled with its low market cap, an advantage that it may still grow significantly further.

Still, I am not interested in calling any bullish targets now, any price the market has never reached before is not realistic to say they will reach there if not for guesswork. For this, you should only aim at least for its AHT to be hit again and also the possibility of moving higher than it with reasonable manifolds before this bullish cycle is over in 2025.

In my opinion, ONDO only good for short term trade, since the recovery is quite fast, it's good to buy when it dumped so hard because you can make short trade and be quite profitable out of it.

but for long term? I don't think it's that good. like you've stated, circulating supply only fraction of total supply means bigger risk of price dumping in the future. moreover the big unlock will be coming not too far in the future basically the beginning of the next year, just sounds like a bad deal for someone that gonna hold for 6-12 months tbh. you better off buying after unlock.

Hmm that's quite a good idea !
Investing in Altcoins to make a good profit is quite good work, but first of all, you need to understand the risks involved in it. Because there is no guarantee that after this recent dump the market will go up. There are also possibilities of dumping because there is one point where I noticed that Mt-Gox has moved 16k Bitcoin to his wallet to return them to the creditors, and if the creditors sell them, so definitely the one more time we could see the market  dump due to selling pressure. So ultimately altcoins will also get dumped. So be careful with altcoins.

Apart from this, if we talk about Ondo coin, according to me, Ondo is a good coin that has the high potential to organize profit in the current few months, even in 2025. Because within the past few weeks, there has been a good performance, i.e., a 23.73% increase in the price, and it can be expected that it will go up to $3  in the next year.

Sol may 10x from current price but that means Ondo can 20x or even more.

I think we will have at least one more crash in the next week or so so I’m waiting for lower price if it drops down to $0.50 again like the other day I will buy.

I haven't invested or bought any altcoins yet but I have been watching some few coins (shitcoins) and I find Ondo quite interesting although that not it but it belongs to one of my numerous listed coins I want to buy in some few dollars into on a gambli g ground hoping I get lucky because basically they are all gambles that may or may not work out.

So if you find it interesting too you might want to take a closer look at it but I believe it will do will this bull run, it has been moving up and down recently but it still returns to a good price which makes it look convincing, just try your luck mate it's all luck.

The basic thing in altcoin is that, no one know what will happen in the market next and which coin will turn out to make a recovery a d which one will remain at their dump level right now even if the entire cryptocurrency market should make a recovery, this is very important and we have to note each point before deciding to invest in any of those coins.

There is always low possibility of raising anytime there is a dump with altcoins market, unlike bitcoin that always recover, altcoins on the other hand is hard to hand pick which of them can act in that light.
