I have a weird uncomfirmed transaction as well: http://blockexplorer.com/t/8e8M6K4QqW
It's in a block. I've sent a few bitcents to the address from both the wallet that contains the address and another one, and both transactions confirm as normal. I have cleared out the appdata folder and had the client download the blockchain again. So far, still unconfirmed.
Right now I'm running bitcoind with -rescan to see if that does something.
Unless that works, I'm going to assume that block#131313 is indeed bad luck three times over.

I had 0.1 that got lost for a while, it was confirmed a few hours later though 
Thanks much, that makes me feel better. I did indeed find it in there. It's weird though, because a transaction that I did right after the one that won't confirm went through as normal.
You don't need to have Bitcoin running in order to receive BTC. Check out http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ and do a search for your payment address. If it's there, it means that your transaction is low priority and won't be processed for up to 24-48 hours.
Something similar has happened to me, except it's showing up but still showing 0/unconfirmed, which is weird because a transaction after that to the same receiving address is working just fine. Coincidentally, I was messing with Namecoin earlier I think while I processed the transaction which isn't confirming, so I don't know if I'm to blame.
So i took some btc out of deepbit earlyer on today. Didnt open up bitcoin on my computer. hours later I opened up bitcoin.exe starting downloading blocks. Took out .01 btc from deepbit and that was confirmed right away. but wheres my other transaction? Is it gone?
