If I read it right, this is just a new feature for the ATM, and it's only for buying bitcoin and not selling (you can't cash out your bitcoins).
Well, if you use a traditional ATM upgraded with this feature, you will be identified immediately, because the ATM will record your card nr. and that will be linked to the printed pubilc and private key, and after you will be traceable (there's no need for ID cards and so on).
It will make buying bitcoin definitely easier, so I hope it will spread fast...

Do not worry about the charges for now, by the time we have many bitcoin ATM from different manufacturers, there will be competition and the charges will reduce.

Buying bitcoin just keeps getting easier, with vendors of all kinds adding support for the cryptocurrency. Just days ago, Square revealed they were adding the ability to buy BTC within their app. Now Hyosung have gotten in on the act by launching bitcoin ATM support. Soon, customers of the firm’s ATM machines will be able to buy bitcoin at the push of a button.

For me, this is a good news but people are looking for ways to buy a bitcoin cheaper so why would they choose using expensive method of buying cryptocurrency if there are lots of ways that we can buy it cheaper. That is why I think it will not have that much impact on Bitcoin. I've used it once and will never go back unless it's the only way to buy a bitcoin.
Despite the fact that this directly contradicts the ideology of bitcoin for being "compeletely " decentralized without giving power to banks to own it in large amount and thus be able to control it even a little , yet this is another huge win in bitcoin's favor and another proof that the bitcoin core is here to stay and haven't any other coins as "threatening competitors " . It would be great fir bitcoin since it will spread more around the world and awarness of this creation will get higher ! Which will eventually make it last longuer !

That is great that they are doing this but only if they are able to provide decent fees. If there are massive premiums then people will resort to buying online so you have to have done the math and be prepared to offer good rates. This will attract the most customers as there is a site and app coinatmradar.com where you can see the fees set on each atm and that's how I choose which one is best for me.

Wonderful news. OK, the fees may be little high initially, but as bitcoin becomes more and more known, hopefully the fees will decrease as well.

I think this is a great thing. Yes charges for ATM's are high. But remember there aren't many ATM s around so most times when a company has monopoly, they usually inflate the prices. ATM's are the best for newbies and for people who are not tech savvy. I think the more mass adoption we get the cheaper the fees will be... So yes, we need more of these.

Its true that fee is very high but when considering about convenience, some may afford to pay it.But it would definitely make bitcoin familiar to even people who still don't know about it.Its only a buy only offer and so,no need to worry about our identification getting traced. In future, when more big giants enter this market, processing fee would get much reduced.

ATMs are traditionally the most expensive way of getting bitcoins and I really don't understand the enthusiasms for it either.

The fees are (at least in my area ) from 4.5% (though I've never seen that atm in real life but it is still on coinradar) to 10%.
That is outrageous !!!!
If I would be buying 1000 euros worth of bitcoin I would pay 100 in fees at the ATM and only 12 euros for bank wire/fees on exchange.
Or I could go with localbitcoins and spend only 3-5% extra and buy the same small amount.
I know somebody in my town that deals even with sums as low as 50 euros in person so no banks.

Of course, when you're the one putting the ATMs out there and charging those fees the picture is turning pink and unicorns with dollar bills are flying around. So it's natural that the vultures companies are getting involved.

I read the news just a few hours ago about this company. Now they are in Asia only at this ppint with a few atms in the USA. Mostly in gas stations or shops nothing major so far. While the fees are high you have to remember the old saying.  People will pay more for convenience and speed. Besides this vultures like you say create jobs and help support the growth in my opinion

Haven't BTCBTCBTC atms been around for a while already?  Smiley Smiley

As far as I know, they're so inefficient it's much more worth it to get yourself a bitcoin debit card and withdraw your money from there using a regular atm.

For some people those fees are just worth it because they get a very easy to use service in return and don't have to deal with any hassle.
If I lived close to an ATM, I'd probably use it too if the fees were under 5%

Do these ATMs require verification or can you just buy Bitcoins anonymously?

No hassle?
Go out carry cash, find ATM, load notes (one by one in this case) get a receipt, wait for the coins... it's not that easy.
Especially if it rains outside and most ATM (at least here) are in shops which are closed between 22-08. (I'e done an exchange in localbitcoins at 2am, with 0 fees intrabank transfers)

Two of the ATMs I know for certain that are Lammasu are for buying only, checking the price the fee 7% right now, limit close to something like 300 euros.
The other one I mentioned is sell and buy and the fees are Buy 5.5%, Sell 7.9%, and it does require id for both...
Don't know what kind of ATM is as I've never manage to see where the heck it is

You are right if we talk about fee but if we talk about instant, I am sure people will love this news. I am just hoping they are available in my country.
