Rig was off for 2 weeks as I was traveling. When I restarted it , one of the radeon vii GPU started showing error 43. Other GPUs are working fine.

Any suggestions?

Very often this problem is related to the BIOS modification of the graphics card and is solved by AMD Pixel Patcher https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher. Maybe while you were away Windows applied some updates that in turn affected the operation of the graphics card. Give more details about the configuration of your rig.

"Error 43" is usually a hardware issue.
I got one GPU here that reports that error and when I tried to install it to a regular PC,
it is still detected but produces "garbage display".

That's usually caused by temperature issue that broken the chip/memory soldering.
Time to bake it Cheesy

Can't tell accurately using your description, though.
Any suggestions?
Test it to a spare mobo and if it's working fine without errors, it's the riser or cables that's causing the issue.
